I've always liked Yamaha gear and when I saw this I had to play it. It feels really solid and it's nice and heavy. I like that, I know some players won't. The pickups are dead quiet, great harmonics, I really like the neck pickup for clean sounds. This guitar sounds huge. If want the hefty feel and Les Paul sound save your money and buy this guitar. The real difference for me is the scale length. At 25 1/2 inches it's a little longer than standard Gibson length but if that won't bother you go for it. This is a guitar that will make your guitar buddies jealous. It's a total player.

The Yamaha RGX320FZ was my second guitar and it is pretty dinged and scratched up (due to me being so reckless and careless). It stays in tune like no other and it has amazingly low action. There is only a master tone and a master volume so not much tonewise here. I play metal (Children of Bodom) through an MT-2 and it gets the perfect sounds. The only setback for me is it only has 22 frets and I wish there was a floating trem on it. Otherwise it is an amazing guitar for all, could use better pickups (I upgraded them to EMG 81/85's) and it soars. Very comfortable sitting down or standing up, frets are perfect. Very easy upper fret access. It has amazing sustain (Like a Les Paul). The input jack as come loose so I have to tighten it every so often.

I bought mine about a month ago and I must say it rocks!!!! Plays great, feels great, sounds awsome!! Paint, pick-ups, hardware and construction are very nice. I play hard rock and it delivers without a work-out!!
