A once great guitar bites the dust

The original Pacifica's from '91 - '92 had an aluminum core in the neck joint. I remember how turned on I was when I first heard my Pacifica through a Super Reverb using a Boss OD. Such warmth, rich sustain. The body resonated in a way that you felt connected, and it made you want to play better, because of that tone. This guitar and all the rest of them pale in comparison, but they do play and sound well, despite this major modification. If you can find one of those earlier models, don't hesitate for a moment to buy it. You'll be glad you did.

Not terrible, but not great either.

Its an OK guitar. There's not really anything wrong with it, but even a beginner will find themselves wanting something better. Its neck is my main complaint, it is very narrow, and leaves my fingers very cramped on open chords. The action is also not very good, its fairly high, and even with .10's I can't lower it to a comfortable level. Fortunately, it sounds pretty good and the finish look fantastic, but that doesn't make up or the fact that this is the most uncomfortable strat I've ever played. All in all, a decent beginner guitar but a few more dollars will yield a far better guitar.

This is the first brand of electiric guitars I have owned; I am still using it! My main guitar for recording and live performance is the same brand but souped up a little bit. I have another one just like this though. Prefect for the begginer, and good for the pros! The price is cheap for what you get! I can get any sound I need from this guitar. It works well with Plus E-bow.

Good rockin!

Not as good as the EG series

This is a decent guitar, especially for beginners. It looks pretty good. It is not, however, as good as the EG series yamaha guitars which were amazing and cheaper than this guitar. I would still recommend this axe for beginners. It's just a great guitar and brand to start with.

Awesome Playability

*Note* - (I can not testify as to the quality and longevity of this instrument. Only to my first impressions on playing it one time, during a long, hard, jam at a guitar shop).

Pros: This guitar has a serious neck for soloing. If you do blues/rock like me, I can tell you, this guitar will do it. This guitar has great sustain for what it is, I swear. The tonality is superb on the neck and middle setting. Stayed in tune.

Cons: The tone of the bridge leaves a bit to be desired. Also, it did come out of tune once, but it was a minor adjustment.

Ah, for the money, it is worth it, I'd say.
