I was a little skeptical when I first got this guitar; it has a couple of small flaws on the spruce top. I quickly changed my mind after I began to play it. I have a 25 year old Martin and I find myself playing this guitar much more! Has a bright clear tone, not as mellow as the Martin, but that's understandable, it's new. Been playing 36 years, was very surprised to find a guitar of this caliber for the price!

I purchased this guitar yesterday from my local music store. Honestly,i don't see the difference between this guitar(FG720S) and the FG730S. The looks are great and the sound is beautiful. If you are looking for an affordable acoustic guitar, buy this now!

I was looking for my first guitar and did some research. After some searching, I decided to get a Seagull S6. After trying one in the store, I liked the action and the sound, but didn't like the finish. It looked very fragile, and actually had a couple scratches. I asked the salesman about a Yamaha after trying one earlier at another store. He found one in the storage room that wasn't on display, and my first impression was that it was a beautiful guitar. After playing it for a while, I liked the action, and the sound was surprisingly rich for a guitar in this price range. I bought it and have had it for 3 months now, and I love it. It's a pleasure to play, and it makes me want to play all the time. I didn't know much when I started shopping, but I'm satisfied that I made a great choice for a beginner's guitar. Highly recommended!

To be honest, I was hesitant to buy the Yamaha because its not one of the leading brands of guitars. It sounds good, and is very comfortable. The main reason I bought it was that it felt good around the neck. It's neck isn't sticky or anything like that so you can slide your hand up and down it easier. The neck is thin, but sturdy, so that you don't break the middle of your hand trying to do play a chord.
