I've had this guitar for about 4 months and all I can say is WOW! All I had to do was file down the bottom of the saddle a bit to get the action where I like it and put a set of EJ11 strings on it and it sounds and plays like a $1K guitar. This is my nicest guitar, makes we wonder what the FG730S would be like. If you want a high quality guitar for just a little bit of cash this is your guitar.

The quality of this guitar relative to it's price is a STEAL. I've played dozens of guitars, Martins, Taylors and some Ibanez but this one had it all. Great tone, good bass response. An all around bang for you buck. Highly recommended for a beginner or anyone in need of a dependable guitar that competes with others 2-3x's it's price

i have had this guitar about a year and it probably sounds beter now than it did the day i bought it! It has low action and the sound is superb! I have played guitars priced at $1700 and up that do not have a tone as good as this guitar! If you are looking for a reliable guitar- that wont wear down easily, has great tone, and is the best you can possibly get for this value than buy this guitar without a second thought!!

the only thing i don't like about this guitar is the following

it's not acoustic-electric it is almost impossible to go past the 14th fret

I bought this guitar roughly 8 months ago and this beauty rocks. I bought the sunburst it looks dead sexy. For the price you cannot beat the sound that comes from this guitar. the only thing bad about it is the strings that come with it, I put some Elixers on it and now it sings. Overall awsome guitar for a beginner or for some one on a budget

I recently purchased a Martin Aura, while it sounds sweet and the action is great this Yamaha I purchased as back-up is fantastic. The action is as low and easy as the Martin, the sound---absolutely fantastic. Tone is extremely clear, sustain is very good, not to mention this is one of the better looking guitars I've seen, (i have the blk). Nothing cheap about this guitar but the price, even has a compensated bridge! I LOVE the stock strings but after inquiring with Yamaha found out they are not for resale---bummer. These are wonderful strings--best I've ever tried. You CAN NOT go wrong with this guitar, there is no need to waste money on anything else. Everyone who hears it remarks on the amazing sound. The finish is perfect, though its black gloss it doesn't show fingerprints. The neck is comfortable and fast, beautiful mother of pearl logo on headstock----YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THIS ONE!! Buy it now you'll be so glad you did.
