Royal Blue Faded Burst Transparent Dark Red

The Yamaha AES620 Electric Guitar was an Editor's Pick Award-winner in Guitar Player magazine and a One Award winner in Guitar One magazine!

The set neck, single-cutaway mahogany body delivers fat, punchy chords and articulate solo sounds. The proven Yamaha AES Series string-thru-body bridge transmits more string vibration to the body for intense sustain while the offset design tightens lows and focuses the highs. The killer pickup array includes a Seymour Duncan JB at the bridge and a Yamaha alnico at the neck controlled by 2 volume knobs and one tone knob. You also get a flashy flamed maple top, a rosewood fretboard, abalone dot inlays, Grover tuners, and chrome hardware. Yamaha sculpted the front and back of the AES620 guitar for comfort with a distinctive look.

The guitar itself it top notch, yamaha has created something comparable to some of my uncle's prs guitars for a fraction of the price. My friends who have played it can't believe that "Yamaha" is the name at the top of the headstock when they're used to playing gibsons and epis. The only problem i've had is that when i play bluesy stuff or anything with a lot of bends, the strings come out of tune pretty quickly, so tuning becomes a frequent activity

I'm very pleased with this guitar.. It came stock with the Duncan JB in the bridge which is my favorite pickup. be careful with this guitar though. Mine fell over backwards and the neck cracked at the headstock joint. Its repairable but it made me want to cry... get a hardshell case for this thing :)

Bought this guitar for my niece 5 months ago, she had an epi studio which I felt she was outgrowing. Looked at lots of guitars, including Gibson, Esp, fender and epi elitists. Some were overrated or over priced or trying to be the cheaper versions of the real thing. This guitar (faded burst) looks nothing like the pictures you find here on this (or other) websites, it's absolutely gorgeous in real life and only weighs weighs about 7 lbs. The pickups are clear (seymour duncan and the yamaha), and the tuners are grover, action is good and the vol. and tone are smooth! This guitar in my estimation is as good sounding and as playable as any of the above heavy hitters. After getting this guitar my niece had the confidence to join a band and compete in some local battle of the bands, and have an instrument that doesn't have many negatives. The price is right also!

I searched long and hard for a guitar which had all of the features I love (seymour humbuckers, grover tuners, sweet inlays, beautiful tone, etc). I have had this guitar for a year now and have been incredibly impressed with its performance. All of my guitar buddies love jammin on this thang. The resonance, sound, and feel is amazing. Much raspect 2 Yamaha!

this guitar isnt as amazing as these reviews claim it to be. The action is high, and when you lower it you get fret buzz. Its a slow playing guitar...Megadeth definatly uses a different model, or at least one that is tweaked for them. Besides the fact that every time i look at it, it makes me want to barf, it isnt a bad guitar for beginners.
