A classic body style that has long been associated with The Ventures finds itself revived for their self-designed signature instruments. The solid 25-1/2"-scale maple neck is masterfully joined to the carved-top alder body with a smooth and comfy bolt-on neck joint. Dual single-coil pickups put out a tremendous signal that makes it easy to get sounds from hot and edgy to fat and mellow. The vintage-design tremolo gives you plenty of sweet expressiveness. The neck is topped by a warm rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and all the hardware is chrome. Controls includes a volume knob, tone knob, and 3-way pickup selector.

I ordered a red wilson bros venture guitar. The finish was great, the neck was okay. The tremlo bar was not so good. The tuners completely turned me off, they would not stay in tune. I tried to use the extra spring that comes with the tremlo to see if it would hold the bridge better and keep the guitar in tune, no luck. I think if the makers would change the want to be tuners to real Gotoh ventage insted of look a like Gotoh the guitar would be worth the money. What little I played it the sound was very good. I sent the guitar back because I didn't want to spent another $100 on it to change the tuners and do what ever it wold take to make the whammy bar work as I expected it should. I spent my money on a standard stratacaster and I'm very happy with it. All my other guitars cost much more then what I spent on the ventrue guitar, but I like the Strat as much as any of the other guitars I have.

I write this review after 2 months of playing. In my opinion the best things going for this is the weight of the guitar, the tonality, and the whammy. The action was way too high for me with a big neck for my hand. Overall I thinks my new friend is different but enjoyable to converse with.

Not bad for an Inexpensive Mosrite copy

I got a deal on this guitar and I'm glad I picked it up. It's a "value import copy" of the California Mosrites that one might need to compare against the Eastwood guitars. I think you get a lot for your money with this guitar, decent quality ingredients and an detailed carved top. I think that with some top drawer pickups, like some Vintage Vibe or Lollar P-90s this guitar could go from Average + to Major Vibe. It doesn't disappoint, but it delivers the price range performance you pay for on this machine. It's not like the pickups are bad, just more character potential becomes apparent, i.e. a hair bland for P-90s - could use a bit more vibe. Nice feeling slimmer style neck and a great looking/feeling guitar.

This is my second rewiew. I just have to say that I've been playing the VM 75 model for over two years. I own Gibsons, Fenders, a Gretsch and a variety of other high profile brands. The Wilson VM 75 goes on stage with me. This is my number one guitar...above and beyond all the others I own or have ever played. I like it well enough that I have purchased a second VM 75 as a back-up. This is the guitar I've always looked for.

I bouught my venture VM110 about two months ago. It came out of the box ready to play. In fact it was almost in tune. I believe it was carefully inspected before it was shipped. It is a beautifully crafted guitar. Ilove just looking at it. It has two duncan designed soap bar pick ups and they are very quiet-even with the volume and the digital effect on high. The sound especially on the low end is rich and distinctive. It has the ventures sound all by itself. It also has great sustain.People I have let play it are amazed by its sustainning power. The people at Wilson Brothers are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. It was an enjoyable buying experience. To sum up-I love playing my vm110 venture guitar.
