Transparent Red Cognac Quilt

The Washburn X50PROFE Electric Guitar is built for serious hard-rock action. With its gorgeous mahogany body and maple top paired with snarling EMG 81/85 pickups and Grover tuners, the possibilities with this Washburn guitar are endless. The string-thru body and set neck give you fantastic sustain from this slim-bodied siren. The headstock sports a wicked hook that contrasts nicely with the candy-gloss finish of the guitar's body and the austere, no-inlay fretboard. The Buzz Feiten system and a tune-o-matic bridge give you fine control tuning that stays where you set it.

Endorsed by Mike Martin (All That Remains) and Jon Donais (Shadows Fall). Night after night, whether you're playing to 20 or 20,000 you can count on the 50PROFE electric guitar to be your workhorse.

Great Bang for Buck Bargain

My guitar is from 2004, so I do not know if the new Indonesian models differ. If I were to guess, I would say probably not. I will, however, say that I am sold on Washburn for life. I have owned a WI66Pro for the past 2 years, and it is a workhorse. This guitar is no different. The the tuners hold tune well, pickups are phenomenal, the sound is chunky and full, the split coil feature gives even more tonal possibilities, and the neck is super fast. It is a little thicker, but I like them that way. Neither of which affect playability, but it keeps this guitar from receiving 5 stars all the way around in my book. This is a serious machine for the money, and I have yet to play a Washburn that I do not like. If you are on this page, you have probably already done your homework. I have not regretted my purchase of this guitar, and you probably won't either. It has made playing guitar THAT much more fun.

I have had 2 of these one had the strap break and the neck broke the other I bought a week after that and these are the best guitars I have ever played or owned. Really the only gripes I have about this guitar is the headstock and in a couple spots the binding just doesn't seem like its just right. Its discolored from where it was stretched. other than that it is wonderful. Nice fast neck, awesome grover tuners and EMGs. An easy control system and nice smooth neck heel to get to the higher frets. If I was to ever have a guitar built it would exactly like this with a different headstock.

I bought this guitar almost 25 years ago. Something that I have to mention about this guitar is the quality. It's by far the best guitar 448871've ever played in its price. It has a fast and smooth neck and the playpability is great too. I bought the previous version of the guitar with the stock pickups (washburn pickups) so I changed them with dimarzios. I strongly recomend that guitar to everyone!!!

I bought one of these because of the look and the price. I had no idea how amazing this thing would sound. My other guitar is a Les Paul classic and this thing is similar in quality. I bought one of the more rare models that is maple with a zebra wood top. This is by far the best guitar I've ever played at this price.

A true workhorse

This guitar is just that, the CC in the bridge can handle whatever you throw at it, it handles distortion well, keeping everything defined and doesn't mud up when you crank the bass and mids up. Perfect for every kind of rock you'd think of. It plays real music.

The '59 is smooth as butter. Holds distortion well, but tends to mud up if you get too deep into the distortion, but for what I use if for (80's era rock/metal), you don't need that level so you'll be fine. Holds tune perfectly too.

The coil tapping is a nice touch too. Pretty much, you can play whatever you know how to with this. It's built tough and I've never had an issue with mine. You'll have to do your reasearch on the case though, that wicked hook on the headstock means you've got to make sure it's not putting any pressure on the neck while it's in a case. Overall, definately worth it. It's become my main guitar without fail.
