It's a Guitar...

I admit it: I was expecting more than I paid for, which is silly. This is a good, inexpensive guitar that plays pretty well and sounds all right. It's absolutely beautiful, though - close up or far away, to my eyes - so it gets bonus points there. The action isn't outstanding, but it's playable. The tone is good, but you'll get better sound from one of the spruce topped models in this category. I also give the guitar bonus points for intonation - the Buzz Feiten tuning system just might revolutionize guitar-making and guitar music. Any chord you play on this guitar is going to sound sweet, assuming you're in tune to begin with. I LOVE this aspect of Washburn, and it's why I own more than one of them.

Overall, I'd say it's well worth the money; If you're wanting a guitar to elicit ooohs and ahs for its looks, get this one and just prop it in a corner! It's stunning. And the sound that *does* come out of it is sweetly in tune.

I have had this guitar for a while now, got a good deal at a local music shop. Great playing guitar, easy to find cords without buzzing or dead sound. Sunburst finish is differant than other sunburst finishes on simular Yamaha's and Gibson's. Maple top makes a beautiful sounding guitar with very nice lows and perfectly pitched highs. Built very well, much heavier than other dreadnought guitars, makes a Yamaha F310 feel like its made out of plastic! Bust still a breeze to play. Holds tune very mell with very little adjusting needed. Over all an awsome buy! I highly recommend!

This guitar has a beautiful, rich, warm sound. The action is great and it holds a tune very well. I was disappointed with the "quilted sunburst" finish, which appears to be completely fake. I'm used to electrics, but my guess is that a real maple quilt isn't possible on the top of an acoustic because it would have to be too thick. They create this pattern by little newsprint-like dots over the red-ish wood underneath. from 5 feet away, it looks beautiful.. from 6 inches away, I just don't like it. I'm returning this and getting the plain black washburn d10s, because the sound is still fantastic.

This Guitar is great, it rarely goes out of tune, harmonics all over the neck, no buzzing anywhere, low action, fast neck and nice tuners. And the sound is amazing and deep. Just an overall great guitar.

I love this guitar. The finish is absolutely beautiful and the sound compares to that of a martin or guild...for the price this is an awesome guitar. Plus it's got a well made hardshell case. I recommend this guitar for experienced or beginner players...my only complaint is that it does not have a plug-in capability but that is only a small price to pay.
