High-quality modeling meets the acclaimed Vox Valve Reactor tube technology.
The Vox Valvetronix VT30 is a 30W combo amp that gives you 22 amp models ranging from the latest high-gain types to hard-to-find boutique and vintage amps. The Vox VT30 amp also boasts a full complement of effects, allowing it to cover the needs of a wide variety of styles and performance techniques. The Vox VT30 also includes 66 preset programs, including 22 song programs that simulate the guitar sounds of famous guitarists. Now even beginners can start enjoying serious guitar sound right away.
The VOX Valve Reactor circuit is the key factor that separates the Valvetronix amplifiers from other modeling amps. The 100% analog original power amp circuit actually has the same power amp circuit as a full-tube amp, using a 12AX7 miniature triode to reproduce a distinctive tube amp sound unattainable by digital technology. In other words, it replicates aspects that have an important influence on the sound of a tube amp, such as the power amp's class A/AB operation and the interaction of the power stage with the speaker. You get not only the response of the original amp's power amp circuitry, but also the power amp's distortion as well as the nuances and subjective sound pressure of a full-tube amp.
VOX Valve Reactor circuit uses a 12AX7 to produce real tube power amp sound
22 realistic amp models are built in, ranging from the latest high-gain types to unobtainable legendary boutique amps and vintage amps
12 high-quality effects including independent reverb, rivaling the quality of dedicated units
3 banks (basic, effected, and song) are provided for each amp model, giving you a total of 66 preset programs

You can save 8 of your own edited programs
Power level control allows you to adjust the output wattage of the power amp, so you can obtain that distinctive power amp distortion even at low output levels

Before buying ths am I tried every single 30watt amp this one blew them all away. I owned the marshall mg 30 fx for a week or so and it was so so awful. This think has a simply amazing tone and shakes the house its so loud. You have so many options for different sounds so so many and nearly all of them sound great. I love this amp. once you play it you will love it too

I bought one of these and was happy and impressed by tone and effects, and the ease of switching between all of them. I live between two places and I was so impressed that I bought a second one about six months later for my second home.
Two years after I bought the first one something that wasn't the fuse burned up and that was it. And would you know it, six months have passed and the second one has started to fail. A connection is failing so there is noise and inconsistent sustain.
Cool features but you get what you pay for so it is very poorly put together. I wouldn't buy one unless you only plan to play for a two years. I think VOX ran into a quantity vs quality problem. Don't buy.

The tones I get out of this amp are wonderful. I especially love the touch sensitive response of some of the Fender models. I can tune in just about any sound and it has some solid effects and reverb. While it's not a true tube amp, it's hard to tell the difference – especially at this price.
One big problem seems to be the reliability. The tube used has been iffy and the input jacks can come loose causing unwanted noise. Obviously these cost-cutting measures make it so affordable, but I'd rather spend a few bucks up front and get it right than worry about it a couple months later.
