The VOX Valve Reactor circuit is the key factor that separates the Valvetronix amplifiers from other modeling amps. The 100% analog original power amp circuit actually has the same power amp circuit as a full-tube amp, using a 12AX7 miniature triode to reproduce a distinctive tube amp sound unattainable by digital technology. It replicates aspects that have an important influence on the sound of a tube amp, such as A/AB operation and the interaction of the power stage with the speaker.

VOX amps are loud, louder than a Marshall 15w, twice as louder than my Behringer 15w amp which is crap now. Man this is a great amp and I know it because I was testing amps and the VOX 15w amp was the only great quality amp from other's what I meant by other's was Line6, Marshall, Raven, etc...It amazing how this 15w amp can be loud because I accidently put the volume on high and Couldn't believe the sound and turned it a little bit to have it how I liked it, and especially like this amp for "Feel Good Drag" and some other's from Anberlin. Great Amp, Stereo sound quality, no mono at all, and Great Feature's(including Noise Reduction). Hope you like it.

when i got this amp for my birthday, i was surprised at how great it sounded!! i had one before that and the thing just sucked. but this amp is the best i have!!! i play a deltatone on it and it sounds great. the only problem was the screws came loose but thats an easy fix overall great amp!!!

I went to a guitar store wanting to check out Line6 15watt with built-in effects. One of the employees said after playn it I definetly need to check out this VOX Valvetronix. WOW!!! What a difference in sound and options. The effects can be tailored to your preference, such as the chorus can be set to deep or high sounds, the delay to different speeds,etc. I play mainly Rock thru mine using an Ibanez and just to add a little more sustain on notes, a BOSS DS1 distortion pedal. I've had mine since Febuary 2008 and the only problem I had was the Electro-Harmonix tube went out. I replaced it witha GrooveTube(had to take off the back cover and loosen some screws but fairly easily replaced). This tube gives it even more sustain, so I'm still messing around looking for my perfect sound, which you can save and write. Read the owners manual!! Anyway, BUY THIS BABY if u wanna cool sounding tube amp with effects for a great price.

Got it for Christmas and waited to review. No need to do that as I found out. It is a great little 15 wt. amp with a lot of heart, presets, and tone for just about any style. It is a lot of fun to play around with and has the volume to make you happy your bought it. I can make my Dot sound like any guitar from P90's to growling Humbuckers with stock p'ups. I tried all the 15wt. amps and none could compare in quality, price or most of all, tone, the tone of a tube amp with all the bells and whistles. Looks great, but would have prefered the vintage cover vs. the metal.

This amp is amazing. It has great effects and some of the meanest and cleanset amp models around. Its really loud for 15w and can keep up with the average drummer un mic'd. Warning-do not push 2 buttons on the footswitch at the same time or you may damage the amp. also- do not unplug the footswitch while the amp is on or it may damage the amp. otherwise, let it rip.
