You won't have to dig deep to get great sound out of the Vox Pathfinder 15R Guitar Amp with Reverb. This player-friendly combo packs a ton of top-notch features and killer Vox sound into a package that's affordable and easy to use. It features 15W of power, a single 8" Bulldog speaker, gain boost, tremolo, and spring reverb.

Its distinctive, maroon-colored top panel features a Gain Boost switch plus controls for Volume, Gain, Treble, Bass, Tremolo Speed, and Tremolo Depth. Both the boost and tremolo are footswitchable via an optional VFS2 dual footswitch, offering you even more performance power. (See accessory box on this page.)

In addition to a headphone output that mutes the internal speaker for practice, the rear panel also has a special filtered line out jack and a speaker out. The line out gives you a good sounding signal for recording/live work without having to mic up the amp.

It sports classic Vox cosmetics like basket-weave vinyl, diamond grille cloth, white piping, gold beading, and of course, chicken head pointer knobs.

After a major downsizing,I found myself in need of a 'good' practice/bedroom amp. I read all of the reviews and after much thought ,and a few 'clunckers'I ordered the Vox Pathfinder.BEST move I ever made! This amp is much More than I expected . It is so refreshing to get more than you pay for=All of the 'old school' sounds I love are here 'ie' nice reverb and killer tremelo-I am awed by the clear sound and nice effects and did I mention LOUD ... may need earbuds soon.. I have found the perfect amp-for me..!

This is the solid state amp, that thinks it's a tube amp. Vox did an excellent job with this one. The features are simple, no amp modeling here. The tremolo is a nice touch, as not too many amps have on board tremolo these days IMHO. The boost feature is also a plus, as I keep it on all the time. I just changed the speaker for a little more bass response. This is a great buy.

I bought a Vox Pathfinder when they first hit the market a few years ago. Mine does not have reverb. I use an old Arion delay pedal for slapback. This little amp is loud and full of tone. I have used the line out to run it through a 12 inch speaker cab and it really sounds good. Now, here's the strange part. About a year ago I also bought another Pathfinder with reverb. It was a completely different sounding amp from the non reverb model. It did not have the same gain, the reverb was anemic, and the 15R did not have the same bass response and overall tone. I returned the amp to MF and was content with my original Pathfinder. Why the difference in the two amps? I'm not sure. Maybe the speaker in the 15R needed a break in period. (My original Pathfinder sounded great out of the box. It didn't need a "break in" period.) Maybe the 15R is equipped with a totally different speaker than my original. Or maybe, something in the inner workings has changed making the 15R sound thinner than the Pathfinder without reverb. I dunno. Anyone have any thoughts on the question?

Bought it in the summer of 2006. This amp really works well with either single coils or humbuckers. The gain does work for me, but I use higher output pickups (a SD Custom Custom at about 14.4K and a GFS Hot Rails at about 15.8K). With those, I can use the onboard gain and get what I'm looking for. With a lower output pickup (SD '59 at 7.43K) I can get very smooth old blues tones out of this amp. I would like a middle control, but the treble and bass work well off of each other. The boost is a nice feature, but I rarely use it. The tremolo and reverb are also nice effects. Though the reverb can get a bit funky sounding after about 2:00. The Bulldog speaker is a bit bright, but let it break in. It sounds much better after you put some hours on it. The amp also responds well to pedals. It's rated at 15W, but when you add gain into the equation, you're probably looking at an output of more like 20-22W. It gets very loud. It tends to rattle, but since it has an speaker out, that's no problem. All in all, it was a great buy. Just take care of it and it takes care of you.

I've had this amp for about 7 months and I Love it. Very flexable and Very Loud. Looks great and is well built. I run 2 of them in stereo with a RP 150 and it is perfect. Could last a lifetime. Perfect for recording also.
