This is seriously one of the best modeling amps I've ever heard. It's too bad they don't make them anymore. I match mine with the AD212 with Celestion Neodog speakers, and it is completely awesome. There are so many different sounds you can get from this amp. And the built in effects are also pretty amazing. I recommend getting the AD212 cab to go with it as well as the VC12 foot pedal. You won't regret it.

I love this amp, It's the best one on the market for the price. You can change ohm levels to suit the cab your using. Cycle through tons of real sounding effects or use a manual mode for complimenting separate effects pedals. You can change the wattage, and manually adjust the volume coming from a line out jack. If you like heavy bands like Tool, Black Sabbath, Alice in chains, etc, then buy this amp, it crunches like no other. I've found that only Orange, Marshall, & Mesa Boogie heads running in the thousands can compete with its sound.

Better than the Real Thing!

This is by far the best 'marshall' I've ever used! The Bassman and Tweed alone are worth the cost! Strangely, I'm not that fond of the Vox voicings - not overly realistic in side-by-side tests. Effects are not outstanding, but useful. If you're like me (gig a lot with a variety of bands, hate lugging stuff, into the one amp/one guitar thing) This is the amp to play. Oh yeah, and it feels like you're playing through a real tube amp, not a computer. Select the Bassman, tone to taste, and do the whole gig with your volume knob! Or, pre-program to comp classic sounds - it'll do both for ya! PS Playing pro since '67: know a bit about a good amp.

The sound on this amp is amazing!!!! But that's only for the short period it lasts. Just a week after my warranty was up the digital board fried itself and I took it in paid nearly three hundred dollars getting it fixed and it fried again. So it's not such a reliable amp but sounds great! Just next time I'll be sure to get the gold coverage on it!

I purchased this head about a month ago and going thru a Marshall 1960A lead 4/12 slant cab and it is just awesome. Can get so many different tones out of it. I have also used it with my Boss ME-50 which gives me even more sounds. Am very happy with this and will keep it for a long long time. For me its a great combination.
