Tried this little bugger out today. Awesome sound, the tubes compress nicely and you can crank it up and go from clean to distortion just by manipulating the volume control on your guitar. Built like a tank. To my ears the head and 1x12 cabinet sound slightly better than the combo. Do yourself a favor and get this amp.

You get a little taste of the AC 15/30 Vox chime and tone in a cute little package. For the price, and if you want a lower volume alternative, this is a sweet setup with the cab. It breaks up very nice at about half volume, and is still PLENTY loud! Great amp, highly recommend using the vox cab as it sounds best in my opinion versus a nice Fender cab I tried out.

I am not sure why everybody keeps trying to make a little tube amp that - just because its got tubes means it sounds good. Vox - leave that to the Fuchs, Dr. Z and Songworks. I tried this and it just sounds lite a solid state amp.

Thank you Vox for building great sounding amps that the common man can afford. This sounds a lot like my AC30, but with less volume and punch. Perfect for Classic Rock. Plug in a Les Paul and is sounds very Page-y. Plug in a Ric and it sounds like Petty. Very satifying overdrive tone. Roll your guitar volume for cleaner sparkly tone. Simply awesome value. No one else makes anything that sounds this good for this little money,

I just bought this amp a few weeks ago. I am still inpressed with the clean tone everytime i turn on the amp. The distortion is good too. very english. great overall value. i would strongly recomend it to anyone looking for a great tube amp on a smaller budget.
