The V2DT Double Trouble Dual Overdrive is Visual Sound's interpretation of the TS-808 with bass boost and lots more volume, times 2! Use either overdrive by itself or combine them. For each overdrive, Double Trouble includes level knobs for Drive, Tone and Volume; plus wide and sturdy stomp switches. Bass boost can be switched on or off separately for each overdrive. 1/4" jacks in and out.

Everyone loves the overdrive channel in Visual Sound's Jekyll & Hyde and Route 66 pedals. Over the years, Visual Sound has had many requests to put two of these overdrives into one pedal, allowing for two different settings and the ability to use them together. Now you can have that great sound and all the advantages of V2 Series construction, plus the addition of an innovative noise reduction system, in the Double Trouble only from Visual Sound!

The Visual Sound V2 Series V2DT Double Trouble Dual Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal features a die-cast aluminum housing, ultra-reliable 10-million cycle switching, easy battery access and circuit protection from AC adapters.

This pedal is a must have for anyone wanting a killer blues tone. I use it with my Ash bodied american stratocaster w/ texas special pickups into a Vox AD30Vt amp. It gives a good mellow boost if you turn on one side of the pedal and use the neck pickups, or put it to the bridge pickup and turn on both sides of the pedal and let the one drive the other-its my favorite setting and by turning on the bass boost switches you can help eliminate some of the twang. It really is a must have for strat owners who cant afford 600$ for a vintage pedal.

I asked for this sound-unheard for Christmas of last year to go with my newly purchased Blues Jr., and after developing my playing more and beginning to play with dynamics, this pedal is absolutely horrid.

My set-up: Ibanez AS73 -> Vox Wah -> Double Trouble -> ROSS Comp -> BOSS DD7 Delay -> Blues Jr. So I use my volume knob to control the overdrive more so than I do the amp or messing with the pedals over and over.

There's where the problem lies. As soon as you turn your guitar down, the pedal just stays the same. That is to say, when your guitar's volume knob is at 1 out of 10, you will hear the pedal working the signal to overdrive it (even if you have the drive on 0 and are using one of the channels [or both] as a boost). It's extremely annoying and very limiting as to what volumes and tone ranges you have to choose from via your guitar volume knob.

I would NOT suggest this pedal to anyone unless you absolutely do not care about your tone beyond getting it sounding good at points A, B, and Y. I however, prefer points A-Z, everything in between. This pedal however, does sound pretty dang good when your guitar is turned up; it's just not that great.

If you want the versatility of using two tubescreamers, which is what I was going for, bite the bullet. Buy two TScreamers. And don't buy Visual Sound pedals.

Awesome pedal. Very versatile, can pretty much do anything but metal. This thing will make you forgo the overdrive channels on your amp. It has a built in noise-eliminator chip which takes out that hum you get even when you crank the drive all the way up. Visual Sound knocked this one out of the park, as they do with most of their equipment.
