Absolute simplicity is at the heart of the Deliverance concept. "I'm inspired by guitar music, and I thrive on the element of surprise that occurs when a player discovers there is a lot more going on than that which initially meets the eye," states VHT founder and designer Steve Fryette. "And as stomp boxes become increasingly important sound sculpting tools, players will find Deliverance amps to be pedal friendly and ultra-responsive."

Front panel features include input, gain I/voicing, gain II/overdrive, master volume, treble, middle, bass, presence, and depth controls, as well as a standby switch and the VHT signature emerald green mains power switch. A single mini-toggle switch offers less or more gain. This switch actually selects 4 stages or 5 stages of preamp gain depending on the amount of overdrive required. The rear panel includes 2 speaker outputs, a 3-position impedance selector switch, AC input, and ground switch. 4 - 12AX7 preamp tubes, a 12AT7, preamp tube, and 4 KT88s for an output power rating of 120 watts RMS.

Clarity and Punch

i've owned a bunch of high gain amps before, Madison Divintiy, Carvin V3, Mesa Dual Rec, Framus Cobra, Peavey JSX and this thing has more low end punch, headroom and clarity than the rest. it doesn't have as much gain as most of them but it takes an Overdrive like a champ bringing the gain up to any desireable level. this amp really shows how well a guitarist plays, every note punches through the mix and critiques or enhances your playing. i'm definately going to get an FX loop installed but other than that i don't even want another feature. it's also loud as sh*t and can get anywhere from super clean to hot 800 to searing metal. it's one quality amp and i'll be proud to be playing it next to an ENGL Invader.

I checked this amp out side by side with the mesa dual recto and the vht pitbull ul 100. Recto was out of the race quite quickly, pitbull was good indeed, but the 120D won hands down.I walked out with it right there. Crushing gain.Menaceing. The chunk is so thick and tight-I've never heard anything like it before. This is one angry amplifier.Mine is in the shop having an effects loop installed as I write this.Try this one if you play metal. It'll take out anything in it's path. Metal guys- this is the amp you've always dreamed about.

ok, now maybe i just didnt have the right eq dialed in or somethin, when it comes to amps and gear, im very optimistic about s*** but lemme just say, that this amp from what i saw has barely any gain. i mean yes it is loud as all hell, if you crank it you're gonna get some very heavy overdirve, maybe if you add a stompbox and an eq pedal you will get some decent distortion. the overdrive this amp gives is along the lines of i'd say like, linkin park, if you are lookig for true metal distortion (as i lay dyings now tones, black dahlia murder, hatebreed, A7X's new tones) check out a peavey 6505 or a randall v2 becuz this is a little wimpy on the gain end of things. sounds good though

controls actually work

Ive used mesas, bogner, and a line of vintage modded amps. this amps holds its own volume wise with a plexi. the distortion has the clarity and is brutal, way past a uberschall and can be tailored to a beautiful clean. Overall the best thing is that the eq controls actually work on this thing instead of just working in a short tapered extint like most high gain amps. Overall this is the amp i use more than any. Sold my mesas and bogner, kept me marshall plexi to use with my dirt boxes. Great job vht.

I have used this amp extensively, once you get the eq dialed in it sounds excellent, nice sound tubes really cut through in the mix, and whoever says this amp is only a little bit better than a Krankenstein is on something, this amp is ten time the amp any krank will ever be!
