The Ultrasound CP-100 is a compact, powerful 2-channel amp that keeps your amplified acoustic guitar sounding acoustic. It has an 8" LF driver and HF horn powered by 100W. 2 channels each have combo XLR/1/4" inputs so they can be used for either guitar or microphone, and the inputs also have phantom power for condenser mics. Each channel has 2-band EQ, and channel 2 has a notch filter for eliminating feedback, as well as a shape switch that scoops the mids. A bank of 16 digital footswitchable effects (reverbs, delays, flanges, choruses, auto wah, and rotary) can be assigned to either or both channels. Other features include effects send/return, an unbalanced line out for connection to a mixer or slave amp, and a balanced DI output for connection to a recorder or sound reinforcement system.

I've owned this Amp going on a year now and all I can say is - It is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET. I was hesitant to lay down the bucks, I mean - it's made in Iowa, what could they possibly know about Amps. After doing my research it became obvious; they were putting together quality rigs w/cutting edge technology. So I took a chance and bought it, I'm glad I did. It has the power to fill a room and the sounds are sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

If you play an acoustic instrument of any type, this is the amp for you. It's listed as a guitar amp, but I play fiddle and mandolin and it works great for that too. I've never heard such a pure acoustic tone from an amp before. I had to check when I first tried it out to make sure it was on, as the sound was so accurate that I couldn't tell it was coming out of the amp. It's very light and small, yet packs 100 watts of power. It seems very sturdy and well made, and is made in the USA. The only small quibble I have is that the numbers on the built in effects (which work great by the way) are kind of small and hard to read for my aging eyes. But that's really a minor flaw in an otherwise wonderful amp. It's not cheap, but usually you get what you pay for. Highly recommended!
