I bought this amp mostly for my acoustic Traveler guitar (which I love). I'm sorry to report that this amp just doesn't do it for me, at all. I've had it for a couple years and the build quality is very good but it just doesn't sound right, no matter how I set it. If you dial the mids out enough to make it sound like you're not playing inside of a tin can, then you can't hear them. If you want the bass thats needed to fill out a good acoustic tone, you're not gonna get it here because the unit rattles if you turn the bass up (even a little). For the amount of money that this thing costs, it should sound ALOT better and I really wish I would have returned it. It's a neat gimmick but not very well executed (sound wise) so it pretty much amounts to a really expensive toy. I figured it would either not be loud enough or sound terrible, not both. If my Traveler guitars came up missing, I'd be pretty upset. As for this thing...I'd only miss the significant amount of money that I wasted on it, like I do now.

I just bought this little guy and am very impressed with the quality of sound coming from these type of speakers. It is smaller then my HP lap top and weighs about 11 pounds. The effects on it are very good for only having a few. It is well built and I love the fact it is made in the USA. Have not had it long enough to test the batteries but so far I am very pleased with the size, sound and how it’s made. Its much easier to pack around in the carrying case than any other battery amp I have used. Looks like this one is going to last me a while.

I stumbled upon this amp at this site by accident, and since i was going to purchase the crate 50 watt battery powered amp i held off. I purchased this and used it for the very first time with my band and it sounds AMAZING!!!!! The only thing it lacks is the low end, i play nylon string guitar and need that low end. I understand that it would be great for solo gigs, but other than what i mentioned, this amp kicks A**!!!!
