I have owned this Traveler Escape MK-II Steel Guitar, for 5 days; and couldn't be happier. I read one review on the net that commented it was made in china; but they admitted the qaulity control on the finishing of the frets for example was impeccable. I agree. The quality of ever aspect is 5 star. I'm really impressed with the finsih of the wood; the rounding as it goes into the in-body tuner. The sound is clear and solid with headphones; although I purchased an Amp that I'm waiting for to try. Tuning is smooth; holds well; the strings top of the line buy many reports; and the pick-up is clear and precise, very natural. The feel is awesome of the body, and the set-up very accurate out of the box. Very solid and durable. All this in a size that amazes the eyes. I am a consultant that is on the road weekly; and feel that they have created a guitar players dream come true for travelling. Although I do work with children's groups; and plan to use it with the Amp for live performances; just because of how much it has to offer in simplicity and design, I'm hoping with the Amp; and save my Alvarez straight acoustic for other situations.
