I am a guitar hobbyist, have a number of guitars, and I must say that this is my favorite overall. I would trade-off any of my other guitars, but not this one. It is just so versatile, compact, EASY to play, and I can watch TV and practice chords and runs without bothering the rest of the house. And when I go to a jam session, everyone stops playing to see what this "thing" is!! Get it! You will not be sorry.

I love this guitar! I got mine about a month ago, plugged in the headphones and was blown away. This guitar sounds GREAT, the action was perfect right out of the box, and it is sooo much fun. My primary guitar is a Taylor 514 and when I plugged the Traveler into my amp, my first impression was that it sounded just as good as my Taylor. Afer close testing, the Taylor sounds better but it is really close.

Everything about the Traveler MK-II acoustic is first class. The finish is very good, neck and action are great, and the bag is 1st class. I hesitated making the purchase because of the cost but after getting the guitar I believe it is worth every cent.

A side benefit that I did not count on is that I feel so liberated. It is small, light weight and I can plug in the headphones and go anywhere. I walk aroung the house, the yard, in the car, etc... Cannot wait for summer and motorcycle trips!

Do yourself a favor and get one of these guitars!!

Traveler really has this "little" guitar thing figured out. I already have the electric version of this and love it, so the acoustic was kind of a no brainer. I got a blem model and still haven't found the "blem".

Let's start with the build...everything on this guitar is top notch, fit and finish are excellent, a lot more than I expected for something like this. Everything fits perfectly and there is nothing shoddy on the whole guitar.

Playability...This is my favorite part. The size of the guitar is highly portable but at the same time it feels surprisingly as much like playing a big guitar as I think possible. There is really something to be said for the full scale neck. I have another "travel" acoustic which is considerably bigger but has a short scale. I personally like to practice on what I will be playing on. The neck on this guitar feels great, it is nice and flat and captures the acoustic neck feel nicely. The action is good, and it really is a pleasure to play. Here again Traveler has done their homework.

Sound...This is just a piezo undersaddle p/u but they have done a great job on dialing in the tone. This is the first L.R. Baggs system I have had and to my ear (through the headphones or an amp) sounds at least as good as my Fishman equipped guitars (full size). It is nice and clear with lots of tone and body and the eq has tons of range. I thought that it may be lacking in depth since it is really a solid body guitar but that is not the case at all. It sounds really good and I could see running out to the car and grabbing this if I were to happen to accidentally run across an open mic night or something. It would do just fine.

Overall...The first thing I did was slap a set of Elixirs on this. The strings are a little tricky to change since you have to access the front and back of the guitar at the same time but it isn't too bad. With the Elixirs you don't have to mess with it that often, anyway. Don't get me wrong, I still love my full size guitars but I will say that these Traveler guitars are super nice and they definitely get their fair share of use, whether it's at home or away. It only takes a couple seconds to throw the guitar (since it will probably be out) and the phones in the gig bag (the gig bag is one of the nicest I've seen, very small with tons of room for your accessories) and have everything you need to practice or jam, wherever you end up.

I am usually hesitant to rate things super high but I think that these Traveler guitars (the EG1 and MK2, anyway) are just about perfect for the niche that they fill and they have turned out to be some of my favorite guitars. Great job guys.
