You cannot beat this combo for the money. The guys at Tech 21 are great and their products are even better. For practicing at home or for playing small bar/club gigs with PA, this is fantastic. This is a easy and fun system to play.

If you are familiar with the sansamp GT2, then you can easily understand this thing. You could buy a GT2, hardwire a balanced XLR output, a (real)30 watt amp, put it in a box with a 10" speaker, or you could by this thing. It sounds great and it's easy to use. You can get most any classic guitar tone from it and switching between tones is fast, but not instantaneous. It has no provisions for instant channel switching. So if you need to switch sounds instantly on-the-fly for your live gigs, you might want to check out one of the other models. Personally, I find that for most sessions, channel switching is seldom needed, nor is it necessary for live Jazz gigs. Either way, you can solve that problem with an effects pedal or a different amp. I just love this thing. It's light, compact and is plenty loud enough for sessions, Jazz gigs and rehearsals.

The price seems very fair, considering that this is American Made. It is assembled in New Jersey, though I think some of the components come from abroad. (Nowadays, what doesn't?)

All the sansamp / tech 21 stuff I've used works great, and sounds great. This little beauty is no exception.

I really love this Amp. It is 100% analog and yet it can sound like different amps, different speakers, & different gain levels. It has a 10" speaker that can bow you away with volume.. I was originally worried about not having a 12" speaker: this amp sounds loud & I love the speaker Voicing. The amp is also made in the U.S.A.!

GARBAGE AMP..... Use it for a year and it will cop out on you. It was good for 2 months out of the box. after trying to get too much volume out of it it tots\ally ker-plunked on me. Buy a fender(not a cheep one a twin verb or a hot rod is your best bet!!)

A Real Alternative to Hot Glass

A well-designed tube amp has an especially sweet sound that most solid-state amps can't quite duplicate. The bad news is that a tube amp dumps heat into the environment and requires expensive periodic maintenance. The solid state Trademark 30 is power-efficient and reliable. It's sound and dynamic string response comes closer to a good tube amp than any other solid state amp I've yet tried at its price point. The Trademark's analog circuitry, to my ear, produces a slightly more transparent sound than the admittedly-versatile digital modeling amps that I have also played. In a nutshell, the Tech 21 Trademark 30 is a musical and planet-friendly alternative to a vacuum tube amp. In fact, I'm seriously considering making the switch.
