In my decades of professional playing, I have used a bunch of Sansamp (Tech 21) products. All of them are superb. This midi pedal is no exception. The main features are: simplicity and ruggedness.

In case you haven't seen them in person, Tech 21 stuff is built from heavy-gauge steel, not plastic. And it is obvious that the designers who work at Tech 21 are guitarists, or at least understand our needs. All their products are easy-to-use. This pedal has the shortest manual for any midi controller I have ever seen. You can literally plug it in an use it in just a few minutes. Also, if you have the PSA1.1, this is a perfect complement. It allows virtually instant switching between preamp settings, and (depending on what effects you use) instant switching of any outboard effects.

Another nice feature is the phantom power through the midi cable. That means you don't have to hassle with an extra power supply, AC cord or batteries. Although this efficient little thing will operate MANY hours on batteries, (and I keep some spares around just-in-case) I love the simplicity of unwrapping the single midi cable, placing the foot-switch, then PLAYING!

Even though this is an American made product, it is not too expensive. Compare it to other foreign midi pedals that sell for one or two hundred dollars more. This one works, is built like the proverbial tank, and won't give you a headache trying to figure it out.
