EST Sensors

With a cutaway blazing a path to the upper registers and the Expression System opening all the tonal gates, the Taylor 815ce Jumbo acoustic guitar has a potential for music-making that is almost limitless. Sitka spruce was born to handle the heaviest strumming, yet the soundboard allows for the finest articulation and lead work.

Coupled with the Expression System, rosewood's natural sustain makes power chords interchangeable with legato riffs and a rhythm and lead instrument in one big body. The Jumbo delivers the extra-deep resonance and volume that come with a larger sound chamber together with its own signature subtleties. Revoicing has sharpened its tonal difference from the dreadnought. With a huge presence, the 815ce is perfectly suited for aggressive strumming.

Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.

Maple binding adds the perfect finishing touch. The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

Probably the the most tonally perfect acoustic I have ever owned. Different strokes for different folks but I would put money on the beautiful instrument winning any taste test! My gibsons hardly everget played now.

I've owned the best guitars of every make in my collection - but by far Taylor's are the best. My main acoustic axe is a 1998 815ce that I've owned since new. I now have a 2008 815ce that I use as a back-up on stage. I recently sold my Martin HD28 because I will never use it. Taylor guitars will help a mediocre player become better and a pro player smile.

Best Acoustic for any type of Music

This is the best Acoustic guitar I have ever played/Owned. I was looking for a new high end Professional Acoustic. I did my research and played Gibsons, Martins, and a few others. I believe the three front runners are Gibson, Martin and Taylor. I Like Taylor because they are where Martin and Gibson used to be. Taylor makes all of their components including the electronics. They create their instruments beginning at the tree. This guitar has the best sound, range, clarity and playability that makes all others behind. Sounds incredible without being plugged in. Once plugged in the sound is incredible and the expression system is without a doubt the best pickup system that makes this instrument sound incredible. you can make it sound just the way you want. I will never part with this instrument.

Just bought this guitar and can say that it plays better than any of my other acoustics. Quality product with excellent tone throughout the model range. It should be for this money and it delivers straight out of the case. Unlike other acoustics I have purchased (Gibson in particular) this guitar did not need to be set-up on day 1. Shows the quality standards applied to the production cycle. I have got I feeling I will not be parting with this one for a long, long time if ever.
