Love It!

I've had my 710CE since 2004. It is the first year with the ES system. Had some bugs that required the sensors to be replaced. Works great and sounds sweet. I use it at all live gigs when I play acoustic. Stays in tune. I wish it gave some indication of when the batteries are about to go out, other than that horrid fuzzy sound through the PA as 30 seconds before they die, but if you just remember to change the batteries on a regular basis you can avoid that. For recording I interchange it with a 1970 Martin D-35, depending on what sound I want. It has rich, yet bright sound. I usually mic it and mix in an additional track from the ES, sounds great! If you play it, you will want it.

Amazing Tone

I have had my Taylor 710ce since January of 2007, and it is just a great guitar. I use my guitar for leading a worship band, and so it gets used 3-4 days out of the week, but has never given me a single ammount a grief. It has great tone, and it's stability in tuning is just amazing. My Martin is the only other guitar I have owned that stayed in tune as well. The playability of this guitar is incredible. I got it set up when I bought it, and once again when I moved from CO to OR, but the action and the ease of play is amazing. I play the guitar through the house, using a Boss Chromatic tuner and a monster cable (I do not use the cable that came with the guitar), but the clarity and the natural tonation even with this format is an incredible testimony to the expression system in the guitar. If you have been looking for the guitar you will go the the grave with...this may be the one for you! It will be for me. I was waffling between the Martin Aura, and the 710ce...absolutely NO regrets.

I bought my 710ce three years ago and I love it. I got it new but it had sat in the store in Sacramento for two years. It was the last year Taylor put the Fishman sound system in. It plays so nice and has a great sound with or without an amp. When friends come over to play they all want a turn to play it. I always wanted a really nice acoustic and now I'm set. I'll never need to upgrade. I love it.

13 years of bliss with a Dreadnought

I bought my Taylor 710 the day it arrived in Covina California. Alan Lane was actually playing it, and admiring the exceptional tone this guitar had. He was right the guitar I had placed a special order on was unreal, it was a little unusual in that it has a three piece back. But the depth and range of this guitar made it mine the first minute I played it.

Before I bought the Taylor I looked at Goodall's, Collings, Santa Cruz, Martins. All up and down the price range and nothing struck me the way the 710 had. I know we all have our own taste, but this was a match in heaven for me.

The guitar is a true work of art, and still sounds great. In fact so great I more recently traded a Martin in for for a 714ce, and am probably going to end up with the 712ce as well.

I'll repeat as others have said "this is a guitar to grow old with not a guitar to grow out of" I've had mine since 03/04/1994, and I still find what I'm feeling when I play this beauty. As a last note, I've been playing since 1962, and have had some great guitars, but the Taylor's continue to impress me in their quality in construction, very expressive sound, and beauty.

Craftmanship excellence...

If you've played it, you can't do anything but buy it. It's just that great!

Craftmanship is amazing... only trumped by it's angelic sound. Tone, clarity and sustain is astronomical. No, I don't work for Taylor and am not affiliated in anyway, other than the fact that they blessed me with such a great musical instrument.

The rosewood and spruce's grain is so tight and resonant that it makes you wonder if they're master grade. The genius combination of rosewood and Engelmann spruce makes the bright sound of Taylor guitars into a full sounding guitar, rivaling any high end Martin. Deep bass, strong mid-range and bright trebles are the voice of this guitar. Wait 'till you plug it in! The best pickups ever... Taylor Expression System. Just look it up and all it's amazing technologies, using multiple pickups, from under the bridge, to dynamic sensors placed strategically around the body. Pick one up, play it; then plug it in. It speaks louder than my words ever can.

When they say quality guitars, they mean it!
