Natural, Back Natural, Close Angle

Upping the ante with a sleek Venetian cutaway and the Expression System pickup, the 455CE performs well onstage, in studio, or at home. The quick, articulate response of Sitka spruce is combined with the warmth and sparkle of ovangkol, giving this 12 string an expressive and pleasing tone.

The Jumbo delivers the extra-deep resonance and volume that come with a larger sound chamber together with its own signature subtleties. With a huge presence, the Jumbo is perfectly suited for aggressive strumming.

The finish used to create this guitar's textured satin back and sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or can be set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.

I traded my Rickenbacker 330 12 for this 2002 455ce. I have many guitar's so I don't need this one, but after mr friend and I lowered the action, it came alive! Wow! played through a PA or a fender acoustic amp. it was fantastic.I think I'll keep this bird. I play in smaller clubs and can use it's full tone,to fill the club.

In searching for a 12 last year I found an entry level Taylor in a large shop & found myself comparing it to everything they had. Nothing came close to the tone quality, or the feel. I kept coming back to the Taylor. I use Elixir nanoweb light gauge & it sounds great & I believe it's easier to play than my J-200. And what a sound. Good move...Good buy.

Taylor 455CE-12 a Real Pleasure

I had stopped playing for around 20 years as life became very busy with kids and family. Started playing again around three years ago and went back to where I had left off and purchased an old friend the Guild-12... Did not know of and had never even heard of Taylor. Was quite content once again with my Guild until one day I was shown a Taylor 455CE-12 which I fell in love with and purchased, it has since replaced the Guild. In time I matched it with a Fender Acoustasonic and have not looked back. Would never have thought I would give up my Guild 12 but what can you say... life moves on and change is inevitable... and how I do love my Taylor.

Garbage!

In case of fire, throw it in. What a poor excuse of a 12 string. I played this piece of garbage and it couldn't hold a candle to my 1984 Martin D-12-28. I felt like I was attacking this guitar instead of playing it as the sound was like totally dead. Taylor you have a long way to go to compete with a Martin or a Guild. Time to go back to the drawing board as far as I am concerned. I rest my case.
