When I first picked up this guitar I was playing it unpluged and I was strumming like a mad man, even with the extreme strumming the guitar kept its clarity and it was loud but not just loud, very very loud indeed. I then plugged it into a PA and the notes seemed to just float out of the speakers.

To sum it up the taylor sounds amazing.

This guitar is awesome; I own it and I could not ask for a better guitar. It sounds nice and clean unplugged, but it really shines when plugged into an amplifier. Not much to say besides amazing!

Beautiful is the word that comes to mind every time I pick up my Taylor 412-CE. I love it! This particular model is small bodied with string that are very light to the touch. The sound is also light with a nice bright tone. Like I said, "beautiful."

I played this guitar at my local music store and was absolutely amazed at the variety of sounds it was cabable of producing. Almost every Taylor I have ever played has had excellent sound and playability, and this is not exeption. I picked it up expecting it to be a great fingerpicking guitar, which it was. After fingerpicking for a while however, I decided to try a bit of strumming , though I didn't really expect a guitar of this size to handle it. Wow, was I wrong! Not only did this guitar handle strumming, I handled the most heavy and agressive strumming I could dish out, and it was LOUD. Just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind I picked up a Martin D-28 and played that, and I actually think that the 312ce had MORE VOLUME. I am pleasently surprised. Maybe its the wood?
