The Taylor 312-CE Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar is easy to hold and always fun to play. This small-bodied beauty features elegant black fiber binding, a gloss top, Venetian cutaway, and the Taylor Expression System for unparalleled amplified performance. The warm tone and open midrange of the guitar's sapele back and sides balances the bright and snappy characteristics of a solid Sitka spruce top. Rupert Neve-designed Expression System electronics with Dynamic Sensors and tone controls capture top and string vibration like never before. The finish used to create the 312-CE acoustic-electric's textured satin back and sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. The ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

The 312CE is the perfect guitar if you don't need the full size of a drednaught. The scalloped braces create an awesome sound. The ES audio system is like using a microphone without the hassel. The neck is just different and I can't tell you why.

I've had mine for a year and a half now. I love it! I checked out a lot of other acoustics, but when I picked this one up it felt great and sounded great. I knew this was the one for me. I did have a problem with the expression system after about eight months, but I took it back to the shop I bought if from and they replaced the entire system under warranty in only a week. It's good to know that Taylor stands behind their stuff.

Awesome guitar all around! Great tone! For those of you who have problems with too much bass or feedback problems from the bass tone, I suggest cutting off the frequencies below 50-60hz. I plug this directly into the PA and use a low cut-off and it sounds great. I have a 312 with a Fishman Prefix pick-up. The Prefix-plus is also a nice pick-up and worth the extra money. All around a great guitar!

The description of this guitar completely underrates it. This is an amazing guitar that people only get one of in their life because it defines exactly what anyone would want in a guitar. The fact that it has the expression system is enough to convince any acoustic-electric player that this is a superior instrument. Electric this sounds much better than anything that is currently on the market. Acoustically it is outstanding. The smaller body really gives the trebles and midrange a voice that any other body style can't, but on the same note you don't get bass that is below par in exchange. The grand concert is definitely better, in my opinion, than the dreadnought, grand auditorium, or the jumbo similar to it. The guitar is very light as well but not too light to where it feels cheap or incomplete. This guitar is a beautiful looking and sounding piece of art that speaks for itself and lives up to any expectation once it is heard. You really can't go wrong with such a model.

A Guitar You Will Never Sell...

I bought this guitar because I had recently purchased the Taylor NS62-CE and was blown away. So I decided to get a steel string. Well after around 50 different 6 string guitars in the last 4 years this is one guitar I WILL NEVER SELL! I have owned an played up to $4,000.00 guitars and I ain't ever played a guitar that feels, sounds and plays so well. Unplugged it rings out every note with complete detail. Plug it in and you will melt into this guitar and become one. Play it and you will know that I am underestimating this blessed axe.
