I wanted an acoustic electric to complement my Blueridge br-180 Dreadnought and my Martin 000-15.. Guitars are a personal thing for sure but this one just didn't work for me. Although the nut width is 1 11/16th, the neck feels fat and slow. I liked the looks of the guitar and it's certainly well built. What many folks call a "sparkling" sound to me just seemed a euphemism for thin and weak. This guitar has a poor bottom. The mids and highs sound thin. The volume is acceptable played acoustically. Plugged in, it doesn't really get any better, it still sounded harsh and thin plugged in in spite of equalization. I suppose | shouldn't be so harsh on this guitar but it sounds like what you would expect to get for less than half the price. Save your money and buy an all solid wood guitar. For a little more you can get a martin 000c-16gte or a little less $ you can get Blueridge br-143ce which are both far superior instruments.

This guitar is a fabulous representetive of the Taylor company. I have just recently begun guitar lessons ( 5 months ago ) and this was my first guitar. This particular guitar (in my opinion) is the best beginner, intermediate, and professional guitar for anybody and any talent. Its easy to play, soft neck, beautiful echoing body, everything good about it. It is a guitar that will start you off, keep you going, and take you into stardom. Even if you have been playing for 35 years, it will still be able to take you further. Where there are some guitars where you have to buy a new one every year because one isnt capable of the level of toughness you are at. This one stays with you. its just all around GREAT! :D

I have had this guitar for almost a year now and and still love the feel and sound. I play mostly for self and family. However, I have been known to play in a church service or two. This guitar is fantastic and sounds loud unplugged.

It's incredible how it is amazingly worth it, such great playing ability, quality although some parts are plastic but have u watched how they make Taylor acoustic's on Musicians Friend. Bob taylor say's the acoustic's have the black plastic around the body but why complain its not doing anything wrong with its sound and stuff. like I said before great quality, sound, and body. Great buy nothing wrong with it having plastic.

How can someone...

How can someone think this guitar is not good its amazing, everything of this guitar sound, quality, shape, wood, everything amazing. Its so powerful, string's either good or bad the string's will always sound the same, feeling of this guitar has no gloss at all, which is cool because it wont leave finger prints. And when you look at this in person it's not really dark the color is equal I dont know why it has a bright neck and dark body in the pic anyway's and this would last a long time from now. So buy one it is worth all the money you have for such beauty and quality.
