Tone adjustment for the Built-In N4B Preamp is divided into the three most desired ranges for acoustic guitar sound control: Treble, Middle, and Bass. Each of these sliders allow the player to increase, or decrease each frequency range (or shelf) 5 decibels, to 'color' the sound, or to help control feedback problems.Guitar output volume is controlled by the Gain slider, The Battery Check Switch allows the player to quickly test the available 'power' of the user-installed 9-volt battery. The 'Easy-Out' Battery Compartment makes changing the 9-volt battery simple.

Laminated spruce top and Natio back and sides and assembly in China help keep the cost of this G series Takamine down. Compared to Yamaha's in this price range Takamine is bit better sounding and the build quality seems a bit higher. Setup was great out of the box, built in tuner is very handy. The sound here is very nice is kind of ringy as opposed to deep. Only compliant is the tuners are generic and cheap, but they are easy enough to replace. It's not a $3000 master built classical, but it is one of the nicer budget classicals that I've found, it's a good product from a good company I'm very happy with it and I'm pretty hard to please.

this guitar is 100% a good buy. full, balanced sound, smooth playability. Built in tuner is great, very nice feature. i bought mine at a shop, but it sounded great right off the shelf. a great guitar for the money.
