The Tacoma C1C Chief acoustic guitar was the first full-size six-string acoustic introduced in Tacoma's Wing series. It has the highly-recognizable offset soundhole design for feedback suppression and a midrange and high end punch that's ideal onstage for clarity. The slim body, thin neck profile, and full-access cutaway also make it extremely comfortable to play. It comes with a solid Western cedar top with voiced-support bracing system, solid mahogany back and sides, and bolt-on, one-piece mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. It has a Graphtech TUSQ nut, compensated saddle, Tone Shaped rosewood bridge, chrome tuners, and a light natural satin finish.

Best acoustic I've ever owned!

I invested in one of these the first year they came out and had a Fishman pickup built-in at the factory. To this day I have never loved an acoustic guitar more. The body has a few faded spots but the tone is exceptional.

I have owned a C1 chief for going on 3 years. At first I was concerned because the guitar is so light and I wasn't sure it would hold up well. After 3 years, it's still as good as new. What a great guitar - beautiful to look at, wonderful to play, heavenly to listen to.

The thing i like best about the Tacoma Chief is the way it looks and the way it feels in your hands. Everything about it is different from other guitars. The offset, tear shaped cut out is just the beginning. The cedar face and satin finish of Tacoma Chief has a warm, silky, sexy feel that makes it a sensual experience just to hold it. The hard, piano gloss of other guitars is a huge bummer after stroking the Chief. The Chief's action is responsive and easy and its tone unique. Traditional thick bodied guitars may seem to have a "richer" sound," but there is a lot going on in the Chief's voice as well, if you listen for it.

Small Body, Big Sound

I found one of these barely used at our local guitar store. The small body and thin neck do make this guitar very eary to play. The action on mine is perfect. It is very light, and sounds great unplugged, but plug this baby in, and wow, she screams.

Great buy

I bought this guitar about 6 months ago, and it has been the best guitar I've ever owned. I had the epiphone pr-5e as a first acoustic which I was fairly happy with, but I needed something better especially for recording. I heard this guitar at a concert and had to look it up. It does not come with pickups, so if you want them you will have to buy them yourself, but as a straight acoustic, the playability and sound quality matches or exceeds many martins and even Taylors I've played or used. The soundhole placement gives it a unique tone, very deep low end, and crysal clear high end. The look is also unight and attractive. I strongly recommend this guitar to anyone looking.
