Realistic, highly controllable delays based on TC's revered processors. |
The NR-1 Nova Reverb pedal offers you 5 different stereo reverb types room, spring, hall, plate and specials ranging from the warm vintage sounding Classic Spring to the pristine and stunningly realistic TC Classic Hall.
Built upon the legacy and knowledge of TC Electronic's legendary reverb processors the release of the NR-1 Nova Reverb raises the bar for guitar effect pedals and redefines what it means to be "state-of-the-art". The NR-1 Nova Reverb guitar pedal offers uncompromised studio quality digital effects in a compact floor-based design.
NR-1 Nova Reverb is a stereo reverb pedal with two settings selectable via the two footswitches: Manual, which represents the current position of the knobs and Preset, which is a stored sound that can be recalled at any time.
NR-1 Nova Reverb also has a unique feature called DynaMix™. DynaMix™ acts as a dynamic ducking effect that turns down the reverb while you're playing and turns it back up again when you're not playing. This prevents the sound from getting muddy especially when using large hall reverb types but will still give you that huge live venue effect while the notes decay. The DynaMix™ effect can also be reversed, so the reverb is turned up while playing and gated when the input signal falls below a certain level, producing a truly unique and out-of-this-world effect.

Well I got the Nova Reverb for my birthday as promised and wow what a great reverb. The classic setting is wonderful as are the spring settings. The color control really works well for balancing the reverb to your guitar, amp and effects setup. You definately get what you pay for. I run a stereo setup with two Epi Valve Jr. heads into two Earcandy cabs loaded with 12" scorpion speakers. Having the Nova stereo Reverb and Nova stereo Delay really give me a nice wide stereo field. It's nice to be able to add studio quality effects to my pedal board and not have to carry around rack gear. Would I buy again? In a heartbeat! Rock-on.

I purchased this after trying it through a clean amp. The reverb options are amazing. But after adding it to my effects set up and running it into my dual rectifier with the gain up. I found a large amount of noise which caused me to have to get rid of this pedal. So good if you play clean bad if you like gain!!!

Like all TC products, this NOVA reverb sounds great. Yet, it has features you'd normally have to pay three times as much to have. The pre-delay, and ducking are very useful pro features that dramatically improve intelligibility in your mixes or live sound.
It is very quiet, plenty quiet enough for studio use, yet it is so simple to operate. If you have any experience with pro-studio reverbs then this is a piece o' cake. You won't even need the manual. Even if you are a novice you can quickly find many classic sounds in this box. It also has balanced TRS ins and outs, a very important pro feature. It is priced like a good pedal effect and can be operated just as simply, but it sounds like the Big Dog's box. Highly recommended for any quality-conscious budget buyer!

Sell every pedal you have and buy this pedal. Simply put, it is every good reverb pedal ever made, combined. This is not a beginner pedal, but more like a mini recording studio effects box. The sheer number of knobs and buttons might put people off, but once you find your sound you will never even think of buying another pedal. My only complaint, the whole "Dynaverb" thing is a gimic, as it barely works, and doesnt sound good when it does.

OK, this does decent reverbs but not as good as you can get from the G major. The color button doesnt really dampen the reverb at all. This would have been better if you could toggle your different presets which you can't do on this. Over all the reverbs are decent and better than any other reverb pedals out there but for the price you might as well spend the extra bucks and get the G major.
