Simply Great

What more can you ask for from a fx processor than what you get from the g-major 2? Great natural sounding reverbs, compressor, eq, modulations, and delays all in one rack unit package. User Interface is very intuitive and is very easy to program to your own stylings. If your looking for something extra to add to your rack to push your sound over the edge, this is a great choice. PC connectivity is a breeze via midi, and programing software is very easy to save and change patches very quickly. Only complaint is the front knobs slide off very easily and feel kinda cheaply made. Other than that this is a great product, and the best bang for the buck.

I was used to play and record with modeling gear, line 6, waves, revalver. I have hesitate for a while between the gmajor and a line 6 pod x3 pro and a digitech gsp1101, all i can say is that i was blown away by the quality of the fx compared to those of the other. It sounds very authentic, no emulation. The pc editor is still in beta but is already doing his job, very usefull and simple to use.

I use it with a marshall jmp1 preamp in serial directly into the firewire interface and record using recabinet irs.

No way i will come back to existing modeling gear stuff!

False advertising

As of may 5th 2009 there is still no PC/Mac editor with the unit as advertised. Its a good unit, but I'm angry about their false advertising. Since communication with TC electronic didn't get me anywhere, I decided to complain here.
