This was my first guitar. I love every second of every minute that I play it, for the 5 years I've had it. The action is high, but that is what made me into the guitarist I am today. Simply beautiful. The finish is flawless, i haven't had any problems, maybe because I take care of my guitars and let the neck get warped and the finish cracked. It's been through a lot, and it will go through more for a long time.

I'm not a professional guitar player though i've been playing for 11 years on and off. I used to play local made guitars in my town that is made out of jack fruit wood. Until i bought this guitar and was amazed. I like it's finish. It sounds perfectly. I chose this guitar over ovation's applause series because of its crisp sound. However, the gig bag is totally a junk as well as the strap. But the important thing is the guitar itself. Furthermore, the string action is a bit high but a good start for beginners, it will eventually strenghten your fingers and improve your guitar playing.

I must have got the pick of the litter. I own two other guitars and this one is by far the best. It's easy to play and sounds great. This was my first guitar and I use it more than my others.

I bought this guitar as a beginner a while back and have kicked myself time and time again for ever wasting my money. Only someone who has no experience in guitar playing or shopping would mistakeingly buy this piece of junk. After two weeks of playing, the finish on my neck started to crack and peel, the neck warped;not bowed, but warped, the frets buzzed, the tuining machines could never hold a tune, the body of the guitar creaked if slight pressure was applied; which shows poor craftsmanship and that cheap wood was used. So now as a more experianced musician, I highly advise no one to buy this guitar. Opt for an Epiphone, mitchell, Yamaha, or Austin. All have great beginner models at or slightly above the price of this ripoff.

Contrary to popular belief, this guitar is a great beginner's acoustic. The action is a bit high... but I like that. I hate fret buzz, something you won't get too much from this guitar. The stock strings sucked. I slapped on some elixirs and it made a huge difference. This guitar has a very bright and loud sound. Much louder than most dreadnoughts. I have a problem with the peg holes on the bridge. They were stretched out and the pegs wouldn't stay in the holes while tightening the strings. I countered this by stuffing some of the material from the guitar string box in to the hole with the peg. Not great quality, but a nice guitar for beginners. Not to mention it's durability. I've hiked up Diamond Head numerous times with this very guitar, and I've bumped and dropped it on the rocks and walls. It has plenty of scratches, but the lacquer kept the wood from any kind of damage. Great for the price, not for experienced musicians though...
