Black Shoreline Gold, Body Black, Above Angle Shoreline Gold, Angle

Built on the Fender® '69 Telecaster platform, the semi-hollow Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Thinline features a rosewood fingerboard, Duncan Designed™ Telecaster pickups, chrome knurled knobs, a parchment pickguard, vintage six-saddle bridge and three-way switching. The distinctive f-hole design and semi-acoustic construction come together for a unique, jangle-pop vibe at an amazing price. This guitar also has a vintage 6-saddle bridge, allowing for more control over intonation. From The Byrds to early R.E.M. to now, America loves jangle pop, and this is the perfect guitar for this, power pop or any style. The shorter 24-3/4" scale length makes note bending easier.

Vintage Modified! Players from beginner to intermediate and beyond have done it for years—whether installing hotter pickups, alternate pickguards, or just plain personalizing their instruments with fancy paint jobs, modified means adding new twists to a familiar design. Squier's Vintage Modified Telecaster Thinline guitar features a semi-hollow body with a distinctive f-hole and classic Tele® tone from two Duncan Designed™ Telecaster pickups.

Never knew Squier could be this good!

I have always been a Fender snob, never thinking I'd own a Squier. After reading many reviews on the net I thought I'd give it a try. I can't believe what a great value this guitar is! Beautiful finish, set up perfectly and plays smoothly. You could upgrade the pick ups if you like, but they are as good as any MIM Fender. On that note, the frets are dressed better than my Fender MIM Duo Sonic. Very satisfied with my purchase!

This guitar gives me a love, hate feeling. It is not a good value when comparing it to other solid body guitars. The Pro's are Feel, I have more tuning problems with my double locking trem than this thing, the tuners really work well. The bad is the pickups, they are awful. I also don't like the "Alder plywood" they glued together. I think the new LTD SHB guitar will give my suqire a run for it money on all features, quality, and value.

In short, The Squier V.M. Telecaster Thinline is a great guitar to buy and upgrade down the road. The guitar has good tone and (When you upgrade it with better hardware) It is a fantastic player. I like the neck, It rivals the Fender 69 and 72 Thinline reissues. It is easier to bend strings on than the necks on those guitars. One thing people may not like is the short scale, This guitar has a scale length of 24". It doesn't bother me, It should be easier for beginners to play a shorter scale though. I think this guitar is a "Keeper" In my case, It'll be loved long from now. The parts I recommend replacing are the bridge and tuners, The electronics are good enough but are also replaceable depending on what you want in a guitar.

Better than the Fender

Bought this guitar expecting to have to get a new neck and pickups for it. I was mistaken. All I had to do was take it out of the box and tune it up. It sounds awesome through almost any gain setting and give a very sound when effects are used. I recently played the fender reissue and an original '69 and this spanks both of them. I got the gold one and it is a looker. The Les Paul scale makes the action fantstic. If you are thinking of getting a Telecaster, get over your squierphobia and buy this!
