Something Worthwhile to Consider

I own electrics from Gibson to Charvel to MIA Fender. Why mess around with a Squire strat? Surprisingly, this modest model is not a throw- away instrument (The Squire Bullet is, so beginners, pay a bit more and spare yourself). I found this Squire model in an eye-catching sienna sunburst, which reveals a handsome wood grain underneath. The body weight is about that of a Fender model, the action is low, the tuning pegs and frets are decent, and though the neck and fretboard aren't lacquered and oiled, the feel of silky, natural wood is refreshing. Eminently playable. Pickups on this model want for power, but sound tolerable straight through a Marshall, and give you different tones passably...but I hate 4 of the 5 tonal options any strat gives you anyway. This model's body is built quality enough to make it worth upgrading the software. I threw in some Seymour Duncans and now it cooks. I've had no intention of screwing around with the whammy bar/tremolo system on this instrument, so I can't comment on it's effect. Static bridges get you further, in my opinion. Want unmatchable, distortion-eating, tonal magic, get a real end Gibson. But even an old-hat like me has found this Squire a fun and effective guitar, comparable to other and considerably more expensive Strats.

Good for Beginners

This was the very very first electric guitar I have ever owned but I sold the first strat because It was from a pawn shop and had terrible pick ups but later I got a new one from germany that my brother's friend sold him for only 50 bucks but I thought it'd be good to review it anyways on here :)

Well first off I liked it at first for the nice color and how nice and slick the fret board was for me but what I didnt like is that it wasn't very good for soloing because when you bend it sustains for about only 5 seconds I got used to my Ibanez sustaining for a bit longer but other than that this guitar is great but I would only recommend it for beginners...If you really like the feel of the guitar get some Emgs for it and it'll sound wonderful and way better than just stock pick ups

This was the first guitar I ever owned and I still love it. Although its nowhere as good as my American standard, it's still fun to practice on and fool around with. Great for anybody who's just starting off. Also good for an experienced guitarist who needs a guinea pig guitar.

I have played a lot of Guitars in the 35 years I have played Guitar; the Strat is arguably the most versatile electric guitar model-this Squire Standard has the large-stock, very good pick ups and great build quality. Close your eyes and play it, you hear a..Stratocaster, no mistake.

this was my very first guitar I ever played and it is great for beginners or shredders, if you use the whammy bar alot then there is tuning problems but if you harness how to keep it in tune later on it will be rewarding, hey if jeff beck can keep a strat in tune then so can I
