Great For Learning, Beginners

I bought this guitar for something to learn on. It's no Les Paul but it works for beginners. It comes with everything you need (amp, guitar, strap, cord....) and is easy to learn on. I would reccomend some new strings as I broke two of them off the first month I had it, and a new strap because the factory one wore out for me pretty fast. It's really easy to learn on and I'd recommend it to someone buying their first electric guitar.

Well, I got this guitar yesterday as my first guitar. The guitar itself is well made. It has a volume knob and 2 tone knobs. It holds a tune pretty well. I haven't used the whammy bar yet, so I can't comment on it. The amp is great for practicing, but it buzzes a lot if you put the distortion on and turn up the volume. But that is because it has single coil pickups that aren't noiseless. The cable is decent, but I recommend buying a new one. The tuner is decent, but mine broke after my cat knocked it off my desk. The gig bag isn't great. The strap isn't very comfortable. All in all, great pack for beginners. I highly recommend it.

My first guitar.

I got this thing two years ago for Christmas, and though I'm currently looking for a new one, it still is a decent guitar. I haven't had too much trouble with the tuning (I got it to stay tuned down to E flat, Drop D, and even C). After playing other guitars, I notice it is somewhat difficult to play compared to higher end guitars, but it isn't too much of a problem. Definately appropriate for a beginner. It's also pretty durable (the stupid strap came off a lot and dinged it up a couple times, but there is nothing but a few scratches on the guitar.)

Other than the guitar, though, the pack is pretty meh. If you plan on keeping the amp for a while, I'd definately get a distortion pedal. The clean channel isn't that bad, but with the lack of gain control for the overdrive channel it's pretty bad (going past "2" on the volume makes it squeal and whine.) The gig bag is pretty much useless. The zipper is only at the bottom and there are no pockets. Thankfully I only had to use the embarassing thing once. Tuner is ok for a beginner, picks/book are pretty good.

If you have someone wanting to start playing guitar, I'd recommend this.

I got this guitar second hand from my friend, it's not actually that bad for a beginner. The sound is acceptable plus for beginners like me were not gonna really care for a while. Taps on this are pretty much impossible, and hammer-ons need to be done with some force. but still good starter guitar to bang around on plus I throw mine around all the time and it doesn't break.
