It's been a full year now, and I still love this guitar. But be cautious. You'll soon find yourself wanting to upgrade your amp to match it! and some extra pedals, we always need more pedals..

It sounds great with Blue Steels, Pink Slinkys and D'addarios.

Blown away by this guitar! I read the reviews, played other squiers, decided to buy one. Boy, was I happy! Outta the box plugged it in. Had to tune it a half step up. Sounded Great!! Played on all the pickups! The neck sounds fat!! Couldn't be more happy!! Now I gotta find a way to justify buying a second one for my slide playing. BUY IT! or I will.

I have had my Squier Deluxe Strat (pewter) a few weeks now and it is literally a joy to play. I am a "hobby" level player, but I do know my way around a good guitar. I got to spend all morning comparing this model to MIM (and even a few MIA strats) and the difference between the MIM and this deluxe were just about nil. In fact, in every case the MIM models were in need of some serious set up. The two deluxes I tried were spot on out of the box. The build quality is very comparable, and the sound, well, I happened to like the Deluxe better. Great neck, well dressed frets, and it just feels right. For this price you cannot go wrong.

I Just Got My Deluxe In Pewter Which Is White And I Love It. The Frets Are Flawless And The Pickups Sound Good. It's Very Easy To Play And Will Use It For My Main Guitar. For The Money You Can't Beat It. It's A Great Guitar.

I just got my Deluxe, and I couldn't be more pleased. The fit is great, and the frets are very well dressed for a guitar this price. I found a small piece of dust under the clear coat, but nobody will ever see it. I love the light pearl finish! I am very pleased by the vibrato (I am used to Bigsbys). The Duncan designed PUs are great for now, and I don't need to be in a super hurry to swap them out. I am quite impressed by and pleased with this guitar. I'd say it's a little too good for "students" (as if it's possible to be too good) and just right for modders.
