The Squier Cyclone Electric Guitar is a value priced version of one of Fender's newest designs. Like the Fender version, the Squier Cyclone offers the best of both worlds: a combination of classic design and modern features. Alder body. Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Medium jumbo frets.

Not bad...but not great

I've owned a squier cyclone for a couple years now, and it's been a pretty good guitar overall. I did have some problems with fret buzz, but it wasn't severe and heavier strings fixed it. It plays ok, sounds great for a cheap guitar, and looks pretty cool. I like having both single-coil and humbucker; it's quite versatile. A good indonesian guitar.

This guitar is amazing, the sound its pretty going on nirvana, sounds great for a squier, it is that hambucker that has that crunchy tone with a smooth bass, fantastic guitar for those about to GRUNGE!

Needed a little TLC

Bought this one because it looked different than most other Fender stuff. Finish was nice. Set up was a bit of a nightmare. Intonation was off and was a real pain to get dialed in. Single coil was trash and very noisy. Replaced it with a lace sensor and now it sounds incredible. Great Fender tone and very versatile from clean country to heavy. Tremolo is a bit useless (won't stay in tune under heavy use). I plan on putting on locking tuners next this should help the tuning problem. Overall not a bad guitar if you want to get something other than a regular strat.

Very nice guitar

I have had this guitar for almost a year now, and I have to say that this is the best squire guitar I have ever played/owned. The humbucker has a really good sound for leads, but the single coil is a little weak. I used to have a squire tele custom, but this thing blows that guitar out of the water. Over all I think I have the best squire out there (for the money). I would like to get a Fender Cyclone but I don’t see it being much better than the one I’ve got.

Could Be Better

I got this guitar to customize. It will be all pearlize white when I'm done. The single coil pickup really doesn't match the humbucker. In fact, the middle toggle position (both PUs on) has no difference in tone than the neck position. They could of put a better single coil in this thing. I'm installing a DiMarzio HS2 in it's place which will balance the tones and remove the single coil noise. The neck is real nice and the guitar plays very well. It came with really bad strings. I like the pearlized pick guard and the body is quite comfortable. They should of offered more colors with this thing.
