I've been playing for about three years and already own a nicer guitar. I returned an effects pedal that i had bought from my local music store and i got this guitar on a trade. It sounds nice through my peavey. I'll have it set up soon and ill probably make some upgrades (tuners, pickups, new neck maybe). Good guitar for the price. If you have the cash, grab a fender, if not get this. Its not that bad.

I picked one of these "cheap" Squiers and I was pleasantly surprised. The weight is the same as an Affinity. Easy to play and sounds great, Put the two side by side and play 'em and you can't tell the differance. The only thing wrong was the bridge. It was an 1/8 inch of on the low e side. As with all guitars, bring them in and spend the extra money and have them set up. Quailty from the factory just ain't what it was back in the day.

My mother bought me this guitar about 2 years ago and I would have to say that is is a pretty good guitar. I didn't think much of it at first, but was surprised at how well the guitar could be adjusted. The saddles were annoying to lower but made all the difference. Even when the neck began to shift from the tension adjustment (from saddle height and heavier gauge strings), the truss rod did just fine to level it out and I still play it today. Three things I must warn you about though, the tuning heads wear out quickly and have trouble staying in tune if you use anything higher than a .10 gauge set of strings and that the neck feels really plastic like for some reason causing the action to feel unusual to say the least, and try not to raise the pickups too high off the pickguard because they can get muddy fast. Great tone control and not too heavy. Has a nice tone for Jazz and Blues syles.

I got this Guitar as a fluke. My original order got lost by the shipping company. I upgraded to a Fender HSS and my original order got cancelled. A month later, this thing shows up after being a world traveller. Well, I decided to keep it rather than go through the hassle of sending it back. I was and still am impressed! It's a great and actually outstanding deal for the price. The action is great and the sound is true Strat. It stays in tune even with heavy use of the "gear shift". The balance is right on point. It feels good and sounds good. It's worth every cent and more!

First, I start by saying that I own a real Fender Strat, which I love. However, I tried one of these in my local music store and I was very impressed with how nice it plays. Action and feel wise, it is easily as good as a Fender Strat. Very nice action and comfortable neck. You throw a few DiMarzio, Duncan or EMG pickups and maybe change the tuners and you've got yourself one great little axe!
