This thing played great right out of the box. You wouldn't even know that it wasn't a MIA fender if it didnt tell you so on the neck. The neck was perfict the body width is the same as the fender. Some of the teles from squire have a thiner body but this thing is great.

The only thing I didn't like was the pick guard was not chrome it was plastic mirror but it didnt change a thing for me.

Buy this thing even if you dont need it.

Excellent Beginner's Experience

I rate this a perfect beginners guitar. This is my first electric guitar ever so this is not expert commentary. I like the way the guitar sounds, I have a cheap cheap amp so I may not even be hearing the best this guitar can make. The fretboard is solid and feels good under the fingers. The guitar is easy to clean and the black and metal looks awesome. I owned an acoustic guitar for about a year before I bought this. If you are like me and know how to play a few chords but are trying to get into it a little more seriously and start playing some solos then this guitar is great to strike the balance between cost and quality.

Great second guitar

Even if your not beginning, Its great. The tone changes from a twangy, southern sound to a smooth soft rock sound when played clean. The bridge position can crush when distorted, and the neck pickup can cause the neighbourhood cats to retreat to their homes. I was looking for an instrument that I could use for blues and jazz, and this is perfect. So overall the tone can bring you from metal to rock to soft and blusey, and relatively inexpensive as well.
