Sweet and Cheap

Wow! This guitar is and excellent value! I bought it to keep at work. But it plays so nicely and stays in tune so well, I'm considering selling my Les Paul Standard, AND my Firebird. This guitar can do everything a more expensive guitar can do, at a fraction of the cost. Of all the high end gear I have ever bought, this guitar has played me for a fool with its awesome sound and monetary sensibility. Don't hesitate on this one if you are considering!

Smooth as Butterscotch

I have been a dual humbucker player ever since I picked up the electric guitar 30+ years ago, but I've always had my eyes on Tele. It is a Fender "thing" since I mainly play rock and metal music. I'd been shopping around for a while looking here and at various Tele copy brands. I have based ALL of my guitar buying decisions on two things:

1. User reviews 2. Bang for the buck

So I have no guitar that I paid over $700 for and a couple below $200 that got the sort of review like "I bought this as a beater, but it ended up playing better than my American made ". This was THAT guitar.

It arrived today, and straight out of the box the action and intonation were near perfect. I plugged it into one of my solid states and my valve amps and in either case the tone was amazing. I ran it through my M13 stomp system and it took effects amazing well. And again, out of the box, tuned for the first time, and it took tons of bends and vibrato and it's still in tune. I'm floored.

I am not that familiar with single-coil guitars, but to my ear, the stock pups sound great. I would gig with this guitar without a doubt.

Oh, and the butterscotch finish is beautiful.

I would recommend before dropping several hundred bucks on a Telecaster, at least play the Squier. Everyone has different tastes, so it might not be right for you, but it was sure right for me.

Tele Special

This is a special little Tele. You can not buy the parts seperately for this price. I intended to use this as my main guitar as my old tele needed a new neck. I ended up putting a new neck on the old tele, added noiseless pickups. Ended up with 2 very similar sounding and playing guitars. This tele played so well I am replacing the neck pick up with a mini seymour duncan which will now have the look and sound of a hot rod deluxe. I love the neck action, and I like the new style bridge with 6 saddles as 3 are more difficult to get correct intonation. I now have another guitar sound to my collection. This guitar is well worth the investment without any changes, as I played it live with my other Fender guitars without any issues. Stays in tune very nicely as well. You will not be disapointed.

I bought one of these for my wife about 5 years ago. She loved it as is, but it was too pretty to be the "leave it out" beater that it was intended to be. My son and I have since modded this axe into a truly fine state. He dressed the fret ends (they were sharp), and drilled through for the string-through bridge and ferrules we installed. I swapped in some vintage-voiced alnico pups, a metal jack plate, round string tree, and a non-goofy switch handle. After, this tele is really nice. If you like modding, this is a great starting place!

Great value for cost

For the cost of the instrument, this is a very decent guitar. The action is good, albeit a bit high for the average electric player, but with a small amount of set up, it's plays very well. The aesthetics of the guitar are wonderful, and for those fans of the coveted butterscotch Tele, this is a great find. The one weak point is the pickups, which are, as expected, not superb. But still decent enough for most. In the price range, this is probably one of the best electrics you will find. Very pleased overall and would certainly purchase again. Recommended.
