i purchased this guitar a few months ago to use along side my Ibanez and Dean. I thought it would be good to strictly practice with but i've used it in 3 shows and rocked the place. I use the Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky's on it and tune down to Drop B with a great sound.

Finally!!! After 21 years of playing many different guitars and buying some pretty expensive ones, I have found the perfect axe. Everything about this Tele is great. I don't want to take it off and go to work actually.

The pickups are way better than I expected. The balance, action, tone, everything. Amazing what you can coax out of two tele pickups and a 25 watt Fender Frontman. The color description was Arctic White but I think it's closer to butter. How appropriate.

An impressive piece by Squier

I got my Affinity Tele used as part of a trade deal. It was OK as is, but with a little attention to detail it's become a favorite. I'm not familiar with Squier's consistency, but the example I received was a diamond in the rough. After tearing it down, soldering a weak joint, filing the fret ends, tightening all the screws and doing a good set up to my preferences, this guitar does all I could ask for. It plays comfortably and sounds pretty good. I'll upgrade the electronics at some point, but it holds its own stock.

The tuners are good, I have no tuning issues with it at all. It's very comfortable to wear around the neck and doesn't cause any fatigue. The neck was kind of bland so I lightly stained it to bring out the grain and then polished it to a nice gloss. It looks great now.

My biggest gripe was the fret ends...they were far enough out from the edge of the fretboard that you could feel every one of them as your fingers bumped there way up and down the neck. A careful dressing with a lap stone and they're comfortable as can be.

It's a gig worthy guitar that fits the bill perfectly for some of the songs we do. The bridge pup is a little hot, so it doesn't get the nod for everything, but it covers several very well. The bridge pickup is the best of the two, the neck is pretty muddy. I'll change out the tone pots first to see if it puts a little life into it and then move onto the pup if it's still sub par. The bridge pup will be staying though.

I've got the arctic white model which is more of a creamy yellow which I really like. I'll sum it up by saying this is a really fun guitar to play and with some nurturing, it will serve the working musician well.

Squier Affinity Series Telecaster

This guitar is just as good, if not better, than a MIM Tele costing much more. It arrived set up properly from the factory, all the electronics (pickups, pots) and switches worked perfectly. The only thing I had to do to it, was tighten an allen screw on the tone knob. I would recommend this guitar to anyone. A friend of mine played it, and now he wants one. For the money you can't go wrong!
