i had ordered this for my son last Christmas, and ordered another brand for myself.. well,he liked the one i ordered for myself so i swapped with him.. the only negative thing about the fender 51 is, there is some static in the electrical system? maybe a bad pod or cheap pickups or bad wiring.. the guitar itself plays really well for what it is..i cannot run an overdrive because of the noise, and the one clean position i can play it in without too much static reminds me of the telecaster... i truely wish it worked normally because the features have some real potential, and i like the weight. All my other guitars are kind of heavy, and i'm not as young as i used to be..maybe a change of pickups and a total rewire might get this thing useable on stage. However, there are lemons in every batch no matter what brand you use.

This was my first Electric Guitar. when I saw it in the store i fell in love, and I've been Playing it ever since. the neck is amazing, really slim, Great for soloing. pickups are great. the neck pickup CAN be noisy, but only at full volume. my has Sunburst on the front AND back! (i don't if that's uncommon) too bad it's been Discontinued, and with People going Crazy trying Buy them all. Having said that I'M NEVER SELLING MINE EVER!!!!!

I bought my kids one of these each to learn on. My son wanted somthing with a humbucker, because he,s into AC/DC, and my daughter wanted a guitar with a neck that she could get her fingers around. the 51 fits the bill perfectly, and sounds great too. I own several Squire,s and would not say no to one of these as well.

My dad bought me this guitar a few months ago and I took it to school. I needed a guitar to use for jazz band and this guitar was perfect. This guitar is so simple and sounds great! For this price it is totally worth it!

I bought one of these right before they were discontinued last year, and I'm glad I did! The Squier '51 sounds great, but I wanted to see if I could make it better, so I added some Seymours, but it's only louder. It has it's own unique tone, though when I researched it, I wanted a Tele tone.
