I've had it for a few months now and this pedal is great. The overdrive is wonderful and responds to your playing dynamics very much like a tube amp (awesome for the blues). The wah is also excellent; the range of motion in this pedal is unheard of. My favorite is the 'white room' setting; it's so thick sounding, the 'voodoo' sounds great as well, and the 'shaft' setting is my least favorite, but if you like funk, I'm sure you'll like it. Overall good buy, the only problem I had was with the wire for the led light for the wah broke, but this does not affect its performance.

The Blues Bawls pedal sounded great, but after a few days of regular usage one of the wires that connected the lights in the pedal broke. Then the other one did. Then the pedal wouldn't turn on. If it was just the lights that had problem I would give this pedal a good review, but sadly this is not the case. This is a great sounding pedal, so if you are willing re-wire the pedal to protect it from shorting out, go for it, but if you are like me you will just go with a good old dunlop or a morley, both are good choices. Too bad.

A long time ago I used to have the Snarling Dogs Super Bawl Fire Bawl Wah which was discontinued and then I sold it to get a Crybaby Classic, which isn't all that great. I missed the Fire Bawl so I went looking to see what SD had for newer models. What a pleasant suprise. This Blues Bawl pedal is simply awesome. The 3 different wahs (which the Fire Bawl didn't have) all sound great and the added Blue Doo distortion is also perfect. I promise you will love this pedal, and for around the same price as a Crybaby it does so much more.

How can you not like this pedal? The Blue Bawls is larger than I thought, it's a foot long, and weighs about 8-10 pounds and is built like a TANK!! I can't imagine this thing breaking if you threw it across the stage. Good looks and high quality aside, it's 3 different wahs, plus overdrive in one. I know of no other pedal offering so much for this price.
The wahs are great. Being a classic rock/blues guy, the Voodoo and White Room wahs are closer to my genre. I'm not a super high gain type, but when you hit that OD on a tube amp you sure can nail it.
When I ordered it, I thought if it doesn't work out I can always return it. But I can't return it. It offers too much for the price, and it's just too cool to not have around.
I like unique stuff too. I don't necessarily want gear that every other guy has. There's something about the Blue Bawls that just works. It's a keeper.

Beats My Other Wah By A Mile

This pedal makes even my cheapest electric sound better. I can get a good O/D sound from the built in O/D that I can't even get with my other O/D pedals. This is actually a clean O/D. The three settings for wah are great. All give a unique sound and I can get good sounds even from a little MicroCube on Blackface. When I play it through my VOX AC30 it is great. Hey even the eyes light up and it's glow in the dark. Kidding aside, this is a great pedal that weighs a ton, is built sturdy, built to last, and sounds great. Only problem is like every one else's and that is the switch for the O/D is kinda hard to reach unless your barefooted; but that's not really a problem. Hey it's supposed to be a wah pedal not O/D, the O/D is just a nice added feature, so I can deal with having to reach down or reach around and click the O/D switch if needed.
