The Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz is a unique fuzz effects pedal that incorporates a 6-position Tweak knob letting you voice your fuzz tone the way you want it. The basic tone is a rich, lush, vintage fuzz tone, but by selecting any of the preset tone circuits and playing with the Gain knob you can create a myriad of totally unique fuzz tones. The Seymour Duncan foot pedal has Volume, Gain, and Tweak controls. True bypass runs on 9V battery or 9V DC power supply.

The Tweak control engages one of 6 preset EQ resonances that color the overall tone of the Tweak Fuzz, rolling off the bottom end and influencing the behavior of the Gain control. Each of the 6 frequencies was chosen and voiced to enhance rich harmonics and bring out the most flattering qualities of your guitar or bass. The Gain knob controls the amount of square wave clipping distortion, making your tone go from mildly distorted to all-out fuzz fury. The Volume control sets the overall level. True bypass circuitry completely removes the effect pedal from your guitar's signal chain, allowing your guitar's signal to pass through the Tweak Fuzz without affecting your tone or gain. Durable, heavy-duty 1.6mm steel sheet metal construction.

Bought this couple of week's ago,I have fender twin, Strat, hobbiest, rock, blues, Also bought Boss Bd2 and Boss overive and distortion, the fuzz is by far the most dynamic of the 3,and the sustain on it is almost like a pedal in itself, the other to are effective but not as dynamic. I put the OD infront of it and sound's wild! Gonna trade the OD in for the Duncan Power Grid because of what I think is a common trait of great sustain in there pedal's

This is a real deal fuzz pedal, not distortion or overdrive. Fuzz is a simple effect, lo-fi, not very complicated inside, so it will be amp sensitive. I find they have the best sound with a simple lo-fi amp. Don't expect to sound like Blues with a line6 and EMGs on either end of this pedal. passive pups and good technique are a must.

This pedal, although it is a fantastic introductory fuzz, simply will not do it. This pedal is extremely noisy and fizzy. This would've been an okay sacrifice, but there was a couple other extreme downfalls. The "Tweak" knob, although sounds like a decent idea on paper, is not. It functions similarly to a tone knob, but right where I wanted it, I couldn't get with the presets. It was either too muddy or too shrill. My final and most bothersome qualm is how much this thing colors your tone. Even on the lowest gain settings, this thing fizzes, and changes your tone drastically when engaged. Overall, not a good pedal at all

Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz

I use a fender standard stratocaster with '69 single coil pickups installed. My amp is a Marshall Mg250DFX. This pedal is such, a great buy among fuzz/distortion pedals of this price range. Seymour Duncan built the tweak fuzz in a very strong metal box, and a high quality on/off switch was installed. Some other pedals I own do not have a high quality on/off switch, I can tell because the tweak fuzz's on/off switch does not change my strat's tone when I use it in my effects loop. The tweak switch is very useful, and is the primary reason I bought this fuzz pedal. I use position one (far left spot) for chickin pickin style. I use the position six (far right) for max fuzz. My favorite setting is position six with gain set around 3 O'clock to 5 O'clock, and I set the volume wherever I find best. Also the fuzz will change when the volume on the guitar is changed, turning the volume down on the guitar will produce a very exquisite overdrive.

This pedal is an amazing, versatile fuzz pedal. At first when I bought it I thought it was bad and thin. But then I discovered that this pedal will only sound bad if you run it through a pedal board with other pedals. I tried it alone and it sounded great. The same thing is true for my other fuzz pedals. Fuzz pedals seem to work best alone, I don't know why but they do. I used a Gibson SG and a fender hot rod deville with this. My other pedals include a marshall guv'nor and an ibanez tube screamer. Maybe one of my other pedals does not have true bypass and that affected the sound of this pedal. I don't know but all I can tell you is use this pedal alone!
