I mainly play bass and always wanted an acoustic guitar. So I started shopping on the internet and found out that seagull guitars are always on the top ten lists for beginners. And the websites gave me some good advice on how to get the right guitar for me. So with the good advice I went to my local guitar store and spent two hours playing every acoustic there, even ones out of my price range. Than I went home and got all the info on the acoustics that I liked and compared them. So the next day I had a clear view of what I wanted (for my price range) and set off to get my seagull. I played them all once more just to make sure this is the one for me. It has a nice soft sound really earthy and clean with spaced out strings (good for beginners or bass players) it sounded like I should have paid more for it. But for all its worth I love my seagull and play it every day. Much love to the good people up north ay.

I own a high end Seagull. I bought this because I didn't want to take this on the plane to the place I visit often so I had the S6 shipped there. This guitar sounds better and plays better than any Taylor, High End Fender, Ibanex, Alvarez, Martin and Takamine (and I luv a good Takamine). This guitar is perfect for a begginer to novice professional. The size is female friendy too.

I received my new Seagull in the mail about 2 weeks ago, and I am extremely impressed! I was wary of ordering online - and also found the reviews very helpful, so I'm posting one myself.
This guitar looks and sounds fantastic. You are getting a very solid guitar for the price. It's got a nice crisp sound both high and low, with great intonation up high as well. It holds a tune fantastically, and the action is very nice. It's not very loud, so if that's what you want, you may want to look elsewhere. But it's perfect if you want a nice, light, crisp sound. I play a lot of singer/songwriter type music, and I love this axe! Great guitar for the money. I highly recommend it.

I am 50 years old and never played a guitar before. However, I listen to acoustic guitar music solely and know what sound I like. I bought mine at a local guitar store and had a friend play a bunch of models from soup to nuts. I flat-out just liked the sound of this guitar, period. It is so warm and rich compared to the spruce tops and beat the other cedar tops I heard when played. As a beginner, I also like the slim, but wide neck. Slim means I don't have to curl my fingers around as much to hit the chords. Wide means a tiny bit more space between strings for my fat fingers. Best of all, the price for the sound. Unbeatable.

The Seagull Entourage is the reason I am playing again everyday! From an acoustic Alvarez, I purchased the Seagull and have not put it down. I am an intermediate player and the sound of this guitar has amazed me, especially for the price!
I have found it to be unforgiving if you make a mistake, the sound of the cedar is rich and warm but at the same time, much more pronounced than the Alvarez. I really like this as it has helped me focus more on each note and each strum. My friends who are accomplished players are totally in love with this Seagull also, especially the sound. We play some Irish ditties, folk and some rock. I know this is one guitar I will never let go of and I am grateful that a company like Seagull makes such a quality instrument for the price.
