Didn't impress me

I was at Guitar Center earlier today trying out a bunch of guitars, and this one caught my eye. The biggest thing it lacked for me was a nice full tone. It lacked a certain punch that I prefer to be there. It plays ok, it sits on your lap comfortably enough. I just thought it sounded like crap compared to the other guitars I played. I found that odd because I've played several Schecter guitars and I thought the Tempest was much lower in quality compared to a Hellraiser or the C-1 Classic my friend has. I would never buy this. If I did, I would throw in some better pickups.

I've only been playing electric guitar for one year, and this is only my second guitar, but I know what I like, and I love this guitar! It has everything from searing solos to crunchy power chords to ringing melodies. I got it in black, and the gold hardware is dazzling! With its sleek looks, coil tap versatility, and amazing tone, it's a five star guitar!

I'd be very much willing to put money down on the fact that this guitar can literally play anything. I originally bought this guitar to bide time till I'd be able to get my hands on an LP Custom, but since I opened up this bad boy, I no longer have a need for any other guitar. I get all of the low-mid crunch I need out this thing, while still having an infinite amount of tonal headroom. I can go from dark, high gain riffage, to sparkling cleans with ridiculous sustain and detail with the stock p-ups alone. Though I feel this guitar's quality is worth triple the listing price, I do have a few gripes in the same instance. The pickups, although they are great stock, can be a bit noisy at times and produce a lot of irritating hum. This is a simple fix, if you have enough cash to buy a bit more high-end humbuckers. The Tempest is my absolute favorite among the entire Schecter roster, and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone having second thoughts about picking up a Les Paul.

I just purchased this guitar yesterday. And I have to say it was a very worth investment. At the music shop I tried several gibsons and fenders before picking this one up. I couldn't believe it. This little axe smoked the competition. I highly suggest you check this guitar. The fretboard is very accessable. It has something for everyone. You won't be disappointed. But it!

I wanted this guitar from the second I laid eyes on it. At first, I didn't even care about the sound. I played one of these a few months ago and fell in love with the sound. I finally ordered it in September. It was on backorder for over a month, needless to say, I was frustrated with the wait, but I figured it must be a REALLY good guitar to be on that long of a wait. It came, and I was right. It was perfectly tuned and set up straight out of the box. I plugged it in to my peavey and fell in love again. I can play anything on this. I won't need another guitar. I've received many compliments on the looks of the guitar. Sounds and looks equally gorgeous. Bottom line...buy this guitar.
