The Porl Thompson Corsair is Schecter's take on the classic semi-hollowbody electric guitar and a neo-vintage six-string that rules for rock. Its three-piece mahogany neck is shaped to deliver comfortable, effortless play with an ebony fingerboard and 22 medium-jumbo frets. The semi-hollow maple body features a striking black and white tattoo graphic by famed British artist Kev Grey and is fixed with two Duncan Designed humbuckers (with coil splitting) that whisper and wail with plenty of firepower. The Bigsby B-70 vibrato gives you extra expression while rock-solid Gotoh tuners keep you in tune.

Great, versatile hollow body guitar

If you are looking for a great hollow body that can crank out pretty much any tone you want, Porl's corsair bigsby is what you need. Plus it looks great. The one you get will have an X on the 12th fret instead of two dots shown on the picture here which makes the guitar look even better. All friends who have seen the guitar think it looks really cool. I own three guitars and this is my favorite. With a nice setup it plays great. Strings are a little hard to change on the Bigsby (it could be me) but other than that I have no complaints. If you are looking for a case, I use an Epiphone 335 hardshell case and it fits like a glove.

I have been demoing this guitar recently, and it is the best. The coil tap feature works really well on this guitar, go from single to humbucker in no time. The finger board and body are well constructed, great full tone. Compared to my SG and Jimmie Vaughn Strat, this sounds fuller and dare I say better. It is like I was blind and now I see!!

better than expectations.

This guitar is far better than I expected. Love the feel of this guitar and the ebony fretboard is amazing. The Neck pickup is the best part..It's a high output humbucker that is bright and clear. The coil taps work well. It's definetly got a rock vibe going for it. The build quality of this instrument far exceeds my expectations. Now for my concerns.... the neck pickuup is average..... it really doesn't do much for me....but again the bridge pickup is fantastic..... The bigsby adds a great value, but it also makes finding a case that fits this thing a little more difficult. and finally, although it's a great guitar, there are some other guitars out there that are a better value than the Porl Thompson signature version. But it's a great guitar that I hope many will try out and see...

I have a ton of guitars, from Gibsons, Fenders, Gretsches, and Rickenbackers. I bought this one only because I am a huge Porl fan. I was surprised that Schecter could make a guitar this great. Is has the best feeling neck I have every played. It is also incrediably versital in the sounds you can get out of it. I would recommend this one to anybody looking to buy a hollow body.
