The Schecter Solo-6 Classic is awesome! I was looking for an ESP EC-401VF in tobacco burst when I saw this baby. 5 minutes alone was enough to change my mind. It was a little more expensive but it felt right and after taking the coil tap and locking tuners into consideration it all adds up to a choice I haven't looked back on.

I love the thickness and weight of the solid mahogany body as well as the feel of the neck with one of the sweetest fretboards I've ever seen. Very comfortable and fast with the huge jumbo frets.

The locking tuners make changing strings extremely fast and easy. I don't know what the gear ratio is but they feel every bit as responsive as the 18:1 Grovers I have on my Fender A/E. I think I'll keep 'em.

The Duncan set is amazingly versatile and with the coil tap and dual volume knobs I can dial in any tone I want.

This is the kind of guitar that actually inspires creativity and makes you want to play all night. Can't put a price on that.

I got my guitar a few days ago and iv'e been playing it every available moment since. Its without a doubt the best guitar iv'e owned to date. I own a Gibson Les Paul Standard, a Fender American strat, a Schecter blackjack ATX fr, a Schecter S-1, and now this one and I'm telling you, this is the guitar. It took me a long time to get it...over three months...but it was worth the wait. The finish is flawless, the ebony fretboard is awsome, The pickups are a perfect match for the body, wood, weight, and ebony fretboard. There is an endless number of tones to be had with the coil tapping. The quality of everything on this guitar is that of a $2,500.00 guitar, but Schecter seems to be able to keep us happy with high quality instruments, while keeping the price down. The feel of the neck is like that of no other of my guitars. Its fast and smooth, and with the deep cut in the body you get access to all frets without a struggle. The locking tuners are awsome, the graph tech nut is awsome..........man I just can't say enough. If your looking for a new guitar you gotta try this one. You absolutely will not be dissapointed.

Simply put, for the price this guitar can't be beat. It's bottom knob activates the awesome mode when pushed down. When the bottom knob is pulled up it is more passive and jazzy tone. I found sooooo many different sounds playing this thing. I rocked it for only about 30 minutes and was blown away. The Seymour Duncans on this thing are amazing. 24 frets, very smooth. Locking tuners which are a must for bluesy bends and soloists. I play a custom les paul now. My next guitar was going to be a PRS. After playing this, looks like I'm gonna save myself some money.
