Great Guitar for the price!

I have owned this guitar for about three months and cannot believe the value. It is definitely a metal guitar. The active EMG set up is the real kicker. they really scream. The only thing that would make this guitar better is a skinnier neck. Shredding is still possible but not as comfortable for me personally with a fat neck. but overall an unbelievable deal.

I own this guitar. It is well worth every penny. It's a well constructed guitar, and outstanding. If you play shows, this guitar will catch the eyes of every viewer. The Push/Pull coil feature is absolutely the best, giving you more variety of sounds. The black chrome on this guitar is a beauty. If you play metal/rock, expect the bridge end to wear after time from black chrome to chrome, but its unnoticeable really, you'll ONLY notice it when you change strings. But other than that. This is an awesome guitar.

It wasn't that bad but i could definitely tell the difference in comparison to my custom jackson. Although this guitar isn't great for shredding you can still put it to use by playing rhythm. But it is well made and it a good beginner/intermediate guitar.

If your looking for a guitar for metal or rock look no further. This is an amazing guitar. The sustain is endless and it's so easy with the set neck to reach the upper frets. I would have 2 grand for the guitar and still be happy

Now, although I don't own my own Hellraiser, I've played this guitar on several occassions for a lengthy period of time through different amps. It's the guitar I turn to when I don't find an ESP to suit my needs.

The features and qualities that attracted me most to this guitar were the coil taps to get cleans that humbuckers can't really emulate. It's like having the convenience of a Strat's single coil pickups as well as the high output of a humbucking system. How well are the cleans with the coils are split? That depends. When I played through a normal JSX combo, the split neck pickup sounded pretty good. I've never been into active pickups for the same reasons other people have been, but with this guitar I don't mind for some reason. The 89 was really thick and gave a great lead tone (think Yngwie, Gus G. or Batio) for soloing and sweeps. The bridge pickup was an excellent compliment when it came to agressive, tight rhythm playing.

I personally prefer neck-thru guitars but I really like the Hellraiser despite the fact that it doesn't have one. Although it is a set neck, the ultra access feature really makes it feel like a neck-thru for me and really helps when it comes to playing the higher frets. The guitar also sustains extremely well; better than my Jackson DK2M ever will.

Overall, it's a fantastic guitar and a recommened buy. The locking tuners, although not Sperzel or Gotoh, still do a pretty good job keeping the instrument in tune. The string thru body is great and will making restringing the guitar easier. The issues I have are only personal ones (one volume knob would've sufficed and an ebony fingerboard would've sealed the deal).
