I bought this guitar over two years ago off the showroom floor in a local guitar shop, which I understand is a mistake unto itself. However, that aside, this guitar has NEVER given me a single issue. The Floyd Rose Licensed Trem is a great asset to me. I only really play in E Standard, so changing tunings isn't much of an issue. When my band does play in drop tunings, I use a different guitar anyways. The time-consuming string changes are ok, because having a functional double-locking recessed trem is worth every minute. The pickups are outstanding. Everyone I talk to for some reason wants to switch their stock EMGhzs with actives, but I have no intention of doing so. The ceramic HZ4 in the bridge is a harmonic-rich squealler's dream, and the H4A is the warmest neck pickup on a 24 fret guitar I've ever heard. Combined, they give me a single coil bite that I've never heard on a double humbucker guitar. And, if the quality and sound aren't enough, the guitar looks killer too.

Small things

I play alternative rock and metal, so this guitar is a beast. True, the Floyd Rose tremelo can be hard to get used to, but once you do (take 10 mins to learn how to use it right, and youre good) it is WORTH IT. Never goes out of tune, and you can also change tunings from the tuners on the bridge people, so you can set it up to where it switches from e to drop d with just a turn of a the tuner on the e string. STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE FLOYD ROSE AND USE IT!!! dont take it out on the guitar!!!

however, there are some small things that take awat from the guitar. It may just be the one I got, but the input jack often gives me problems. Ive had too resodder the wiring at least 6 or 7 times in the year and a half ive had it. Unforunately, the more you resodder, the more crap gets on the wiring, and the lesser the quality of your sound becomes.

personally, i want to get new electronics, give it a custom paint job (because that makes everything better!) and stick an emg 85/60 combo in this sucker, and get it over with.

THAT would make a perfect guitar.

okay, in all great guitar, its just the small things.

My honest opinion

When I first played it I wasn't impressed. I thought the neck felt slow compared to my LP. I changed the strings which was an experience considering I had never owned a Floyd Rose tremelo. After getting it set up with lighter gauge strings and playing it for a few days I started to like it alot. I wouldn't suggest this guitar for a beginner, however if you have been playing for a while then go for it! It just takes some getting used to. The EMG's are OK but lacks the sustain that I have with my LP. Overall for the money it's a good guitar. You have to look close to see the bats on the neck, but the guitar looks great. I like the flat black finish I'm satisfied and mine is a 2nd(blemish)

I bought this guitar Used at a local guitar center. And it SQUEELS Metal. The Floyd Rose is an awsome tremolo tool. EMG's at lots of sustain and tone. The shape is simple and easy to play on. Bought this guitar hoping to play closer to an Sevenfold vibe, and I get heaven disguised as a guitar!

this is a VERY good guitar for its price range, the neck is exceptionally comfortable for players with larger hands (like myself) and the Floyd is good if you don't change tunings too much. the input jack on the other hand SUCKS. i have had this guitar for 2 days and i already think i need a new input jack. i was standing up playing and it just FELL OUT i fixed it multiple times, but it needs done by a pro.
